License tagging for Image:PCAbeysiriwardana.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:PCAbeysiriwardana.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 08:09, 3 July 2007 (UTC)
==Speedy deletion nomination of Research I Do (Sri Lankan Scientists and Their Researches)==
Please do not introduce inappropriate pages, such as Research I Do (Sri Lankan Scientists and Their Researches), to Wikipedia. Doing so is considered to be vandalism and is prohibited. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Under section G3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, the page has been nominated for deletion. Repeated vandalism may result in the loss of editing privileges.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice that Research I Do (Sri Lankan Scientists and Their Researches), a page that you created, has been tagged for deletion. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:
- It is unambiguous vandalism or an obvious hoax. (See section G3 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Please do not introduce inappropriate pages to Wikipedia; doing so is not in accordance with our policies. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox.
- It is an "attack page", (See section G10 of the criteria for speedy deletion.)
Do not create pages that attack, threaten, or disparage their subject or any other entity. Attack pages and files are not tolerated by Wikipedia, and users who create or add such material may be blocked from editing
Your page is being deleted for being a test page and or incohernt vandalism (ie WP:CSD G1 Patent nonsense). The links above can help you know why etc. Good luck. Josalm64rc (talk) 06:20, 15 August 2019 (UTC)
The article Audio Visual Centre (AVC) – Sri Lanka has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Unsourced article about a media centre in a government department. While the department is notable it is doubtful the media centre alone is, and certainly this article makes no claim of notability.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Railfan23 (talk) 06:21, 15 August 2019 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Sri Lankan Scientists and Their Researches
[edit]Hello, PrabathCA,
Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username DannyS712 and it's nice to meet you :-)
I wanted to let you know that I have tagged an article that you started, Sri Lankan Scientists and Their Researches, for deletion, because it's impossible to identify the subject of the article.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top. If the page is already deleted by the time you come across this message and you wish to retrieve the deleted material, please contact the deleting administrator.
For any further query, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|DannyS712}}
. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~
. Thanks!

- True, it is ten years since you first edited Wikipedia but in that time you have learnt little of our ways. This article and Research I Do (Sri Lankan Scientists and Their Researches) were clear examples of using Wikipedia as a free host. If you want a place where Sri Lankan scientists can share ideas, go to Wikia and create a new wiki. Here, the most you can do is make sure that category:Sri Lankan scientists and its sub-categories are fully populated. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 08:37, 15 August 2019 (UTC)
