Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. At least one of your recent edits did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at the welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make some test edits, please use the sandbox for that. Thank you.

Your recent editing history at To Hell With You shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.

To avoid being blocked, instead of reverting please consider using the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. See BRD for how this is done. You can post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection. Flat Out let's discuss it 11:45, 24 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Your account has been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia because it appears to be mainly intended for publicity and/or promotional purposes. If you intend to edit constructively in other topic areas, you may be granted the right to continue under a change of username. Please read the following carefully.
Why can't I edit Wikipedia?

Your account's edits and/or username indicate that it is being used on behalf of a company, group, website or organization for purposes of promotion and/or publicity. The edits may have violated one or more of our rules on spamming, which include: adding inappropriate external links, posting advertisements and using Wikipedia for promotion. Wikipedia has many articles on companies, groups, and organizations, but such groups are generally discouraged from using Wikipedia to write about themselves. In addition, usernames like yours are disallowed under our username policy.

Am I allowed to make these edits if I change my username?

Probably not, although if you can demonstrate a pattern of future editing in strict accordance with our neutral point of view policy, you may be granted this right. See Wikipedia's FAQ for Organizations for a helpful list of frequently asked questions by people in your position. Also, review the conflict of interest guidance to see the kinds of limitations you would have to obey if you did want to continue editing about your company, group, organization, or clients. If this does not fit in with your goals, then you will not be allowed to edit Wikipedia again.

What can I do now?

If you have no interest in writing about some other topic than your organization, group, company, or product, you may consider using one of the many websites that allow this instead.

If you do intend to make useful contributions here about some other topic, you must convince a Wikipedia administrator that you mean it. To that end, please do the following:

  • Add the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} on your user talk page.
  • Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:Listusers to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy.
  • Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In this reason, you must:
    • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the edits for which you were blocked.
    • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. Alexf(talk) 14:17, 28 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I didn't intend to use the pages I created for promotional purposes, I just wanted to complete the discography of these artists. I'm not quite sure what I did wrong here - Am I not allowed to create pages for the records of theses musicans?

Decline reason:

What you did wrong, first and foremost, as spelled out above, was pick a username that suggested a connection to the musicians you were writing about. Before we can go anywhere with this, you need to use {{unblock-spamun}} (again as you were instructed above) to propose a new username that is in accord with our username policy. You might also want to review the readable guide to our conflict of interest policy. Then you should also ponder whether those musicians can have Wikipedia articles. Then read the query below. And after all that, you can consider another unblock request if you still want to continue. — Daniel Case (talk) 18:11, 28 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Here are a few key questions:

You are currently blocked because your username appears directly related to a company, group or product that you have been promoting, contrary to the username policy. Changing the username will not allow you to violate the 3 important principles above. Daniel Case (talk) 18:11, 28 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I'm still not sure why my username has a connection to these musicians. The username was the name of my blog where I write about music. And all I wanted to do is update the Wikipedia articles of these artists. Is that wrong? So, I'll change my username - but I don't see the difference...

You made our point perfectly! Every time you edit Wikipedia, you're promoting your blog due to the username, and it appears that you're editing on behalf of that blog - even if you don't link to your blog (which of course, you may NEVER do, by the way). Note: not all albums are notable enough to have articles about them; they still must meet the notability requirements. You need to acknowledge that you understand before any unblock can occur DP 10:53, 2 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Aquavia requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 22:19, 31 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Sockpuppet investigation

[edit]

Please be informed you have been listed at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet_investigations/Powerpopsquare.

I'm sorry to do this because I'm sure you mean well and are sincere, and I suspect you didn't know/understand WP:SOCK but we can't have blocked users continuing same editing with different accounts. What you're doing on Wikipedia could be good and welcome if you'd just communicate with other editors to familiarize with the encyclopedia's guidelines on WP:NOTABILITY and WP:SOURCEs.

You can go to the SPI and comment. Good luck. In ictu oculi (talk) 09:03, 14 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

That's closed now. Please request unblock from this account. All the best. In ictu oculi (talk) 13:56, 14 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
