PostScarcity, you are invited to the Teahouse

[edit]

Hello. First of all, apologies if I have any of my formatting incorrect: I'm not at all versed in editing Wikipedia.

PostScarcity, I was wondering why our link (on the Polyamory page, under media sources) was removed. While perhaps you'd claim that our site is a personal project, I would argue that ours is no more a personal project than Polyamory in the News, which does have a link posted there. PITN has been around since 2005 and our site, The Ordinary Extraordinary, has been around since 2007, and both sites provide news and commentary on polyamory's place in society and the ever-expanding awareness of its existence. The owner of PITN (a very nice man with whom we've had contact) expresses personal views on what he's reporting just as we do -- while both sites offer polyamory-related news in a respectable fashion. So we're confused as to why the link to our site deserves deletion. Please reconsider.

Thank you.

Hi PostScarcity, thanks for letting me know that your remove the link. I would like to ask you why? because the page I added is relevant to the Polyamory. I also read the guidelines and I will be appreciate if you tell me why am I wrong. Many thanks.

Hi PolyTany, Wikipedia is not a link directory and it is not a place for the promotion of your personal projects. Please read what Wikipedia is not. You may want to submit your link to the relevant category at the Open Directory Project (dmoz.org) and link back to that category from the Polyamory article using the dmoz template.
