Hi Possibilibrary! Thanks for contributing to Wikipedia.
Be our guest at the Teahouse! The Teahouse is a friendly space where new editors can ask questions about contributing to Wikipedia and get help from experienced editors like Rosiestep (talk).

This isn't the library's page for publicity. It shouldn't contain everything that the library puts on its webpage for its users. There is far too much detail that is not appropriate for a wikiarticle. General readers have no interest in much of that material. Per WP:BRD when your edit has been undone you should raise the issue on the article's talkpage for discussion rather than restoring it. Meters (talk) 22:39, 21 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

And this does not mean that you get to drop the issue on the talk page and immediately restore the edit. I've removed it again. Wait until editors dissuss the issue and reach a consensus. Meters (talk) 22:46, 21 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, Possibilibrary. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places, or things you have written about in the article Clearwater Public Library System, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic, and it is important when editing Wikipedia articles that such connections be completely transparent. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, we ask that you please:

  • avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your family, friends, school, company, club, or organization, as well as any competing companies' projects or products;
  • instead, you are encouraged to propose changes on the Talk pages of affected article(s) (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or to the website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Please take a few moments to read and review Wikipedia's policies regarding conflicts of interest, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies. Thank you. Meters (talk) 22:43, 21 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your help, Meters - including the zip codes seemed helpful, as the Wikis for many other library systems, such as the Los Angeles Public Library include them for each library branch. Thanks again, and apologies to the community for not following the best protocol. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Possibilibrary (talkcontribs) 23:00, December 21, 2016 (UTC)
That's why we take it to the talk page for discussion with other editors. I may well be wrong. I've been looking for a policy on this sort of thing and have not found one yet. If it's acceptable to add this sort of information then hopefully other editors will see the talk page thread and comment. Note that just because something exists on another page is no guarantee that that page is correct. See WP:OTHER STUFF EXISTS.
I've indented your reply, and added a signature. It's a good idea to indent replies in a thread with colons (one colon per tab of indent). Signatures and time stamps are added with 4 tildes like this ~~~~ Meters (talk) 23:15, 21 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks again, Meters . Wikipedians like you are an asset- helpful to the novice, yet committed to quality entrees. Cheers. Possibilibrary (talk) 23:22, 21 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
