The Sims

[edit]

Hey, Pnkrockr, thanks for that edit on "The Sims" about the Australian pack "Full House". I had the info, so I figured I would post it, but im not very good at making stuff sound 'article-y', so thanks for fixing it up! tpg1989 13:00, 28 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Oops!

[edit]

When I noticed some vandalism on the article African elephant, I misidentified the vandal and left an inappropriate warning on this talk page. I am sorry about this. Please accept my apologies. Jesse Viviano 05:28, 30 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Anyways, what happened is that Stephen Colbert, on the Colbert Report, vandalized Wikipedia on his show by writing that the population of elephants has tripled in the last six months. It got reverted. Morons keep adding that back into any article related to elephants. I was using the facility to detect changes between versions of pages in the history tab. I then noticed that someone reverted some edits, and your edit was the last edit before the reversion. The reversion included the Colbert vandalism, and therefore I misidentified your edit as a vandal edit. It turned out that you were complaining that the reference did not pan out, instead. That reference was for something before the vandalism. Therefore, I mistakenly placed a stern warning on your talk page, thinking that you were part of the old joke that has quit being funny and has started to seriously annoy people like me. It turned out that the vandal was WoWAddict, whose name was a play on Wikipedia's most infamous vandal, Willy on Wheels (a.k.a. WoW). Willy on Wheels was a vandal who moved pages to nonsensical names so many times he became infamous. He has apparently quit that, and now replaces pages with a crazy manifesto and goes by the name "Bobby Boulders". For more on Stephen Colbert's joking and its effects on Wikipedia, see Wikipedia:Wikiality and Other Tripling Elephants. I am just letting you know so that you do not mistake Colbert vandalism for legitimate edits, and to apologize again for my mix-up on your talk page. See the page history if you want to see my goof. Instead of tagging, how about actually doing some editing? If you would like to see sections maybe you could add them? There is a reference link at the bottom of the article that seems to have been overlooked too. I'm removing the references tag.Jonathan888 (talk) 16:33, 7 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Could you read your post on the talk page again? Thin your statement might the opposite of what you intended? ZueJay (talk) 03:38, 2 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

hi...um the chef uniform thing

[edit]

Oops sorry about that. I don't know how my sister found out how to do that. She was asking me to buy her a Chef's Uniform, and i suppose she must have edited it. I'm sorry for the trouble. (I know not much trouble but it still wasted some of your time.) —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 68.77.35.152 (talk) 20:05, 16 April 2007 (UTC).[reply]

WP:AIV

[edit]

Please remember when posting block request to WP:AIV to ensure that the user is currently active. Blocks are meant to stop ongoing vandalism -- not to be a means of punishment. --Selket Talk 03:50, 4 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The Sims vandalism

[edit]

I'm not exactly sure what to do about it. I have requested page protection, but I'm not sure if vandalism on the page is frequent enough to warrant protecting it. Next time I see the vandalism, I will try to report them to WP:AIAV, becuase this nonsense should be stopped by blocking them for a short time. --WillMak050389 19:19, 15 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Perugia refs

[edit]

Many thanks ;). That's a bit exhausting but also really interesting. You've to reckon as a mathematician with theorems to demonstrate the verity of statements. For example I argued that the Raphael paintings in Perugia were five, but historicians are sure only of four ouvres.--Grifomaniacs 05:29, 18 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
