Hi Pliny, I'm keen to have a chat about Bermondsey's industrial heritage as I had a lot of relatives living and working there in the mid- to late 1800s/early 20th century. Among them was a great-great grandfather who at the trime of the 1901 census lived in Abbey Street and was a labourer at a metallic cask works (whatever that is!). Presumably it was the one on Lucy Street that you mention. He appears to have grown up at Tan Yard, Wyldes Rents, Bermondsey, where his uncle was a foreman. Hello, Plinyyoung. Voting in the 2017 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 10 December. All users who registered an account before Saturday, 28 October 2017, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Wednesday, 1 November 2017 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
