I have found the term "gamonym" to be useful to signify the name that a spouse assumes upon marriage. For example, when Sue Jones marries Mike Smith, she becomes Mrs. Mike Smith and Sue Smith. These names are gamonyms for Sue Jones. I would be pleased to see this neologism added to your compendium of -onyms. Belastro (talk) 02:05, 20 May 2010 (UTC)
