Romnalda

[edit]

Hi Plantnerd,

you asked for comments on Romnalda. One thing which is customary is to add a taxobox, which I have now added. A second thing is to have some pix. Imho photos should not just be an illustrtation to dress up an artcile, but depict identifiable characteristics of a species. Are you able to make any photos?

One thing I was wondering is: you wrote that The genus Rhomnalda differs from Lomandra in growing exclusively in rainforests and having sparsely branched inflorescences with no spines. Is there more ecological information available? For example, which bees / butterflies fly on this genera? Are there any larva of butterflies specializing in this genus? Are they part of any known plant communions?

Hm, on second thoughts, I am not so sure about the taxobox I added to this article, as Brya removed it from the family Lomandraceae. Do you know if APG II eliminated this family, or if there are any new publications that support this as a separate family?

Proposed deletion of Erwin Weber

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Erwin Weber, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached.  Asenine  08:37, 11 August 2008 (UTC)

Science lovers wanted!

Science lovers wanted!
Hi! I'm serving as the wikipedian-in-residence at the Smithsonian Institution Archives until June! One of my goals as resident, is to work with Wikipedians and staff to improve content on Wikipedia about people who have collections held in the Archives - most of these are scientists who held roles within the Smithsonian and/or federal government. I thought you might like to participate since you are interested in the sciences! Sign up to participate here and dive into articles needing expansion and creation on our to-do list. Feel free to make a request for images or materials at the request page, and of course, if you share your successes at the outcomes page you will receive the SIA barnstar! Thanks for your interest, and I look forward to your participation! Sarah (talk) 01:06, 18 April 2012 (UTC)|}[reply]
