AfD nomination of Pitbull Productions
[edit]I have nominated Pitbull Productions, an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Pitbull Productions. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? B. Wolterding (talk) 16:19, 3 May 2008 (UTC)
If you have a close connection to some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred from the tone of the edit and the proximity of the editor to the subject, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:
- editing articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
- participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors;
- linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam);
- and you must always:
- avoid breaching relevant policies and guidelines, especially neutral point of view, verifiability, and autobiography.
For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have conflict of interest, please see Wikipedia:Business' FAQ. For more details about what constitutes a conflict of interest, please see Wikipedia:Conflict of Interest. Thank you. --B. Wolterding (talk) 16:19, 3 May 2008 (UTC)
Here are a few key questions:
- Do you understand that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, and not a business directory?
- Do you understand conflict of interest?
- Do you understand that to be considered for an encylopedia article, the subject must be considered to be notable?

Here are a few key questions for Wiki editors:
- Do you understand that Wikipedia has deleted Pitbull Productions so the above question about a business directory does not apply?
- There cannot be a COI|conflict of interest if no request for an entry is under consideration.
- Do you understand that my above request although now moot was a request for a DELETION so I formerly as username Pitbull Prod now TBD Lobster.Thermidor is not requesting an encyclopedia article?
I am currently being blocked because my username is being misdirectly applied to a non-existent request, contrary to any sensible rationale. I am requesting a change in order to unblock my user name which will not violate any of the 3 important principles above. Thanks for your careful perusal and consideration!

- What I want to make sure about is that, even if you do change your name, you won't recreate the article Pitbull Productions, or try to promote it in other ways. If you accept this, I'll be happy to unblock you to request a name change. — Tivedshambo (t/c) 20:42, 28 August 2010 (UTC)
