Vetusta Morla is a Spanish indie rock band founded in Tres Cantos, Madrid (España) (LEX) (OM). After nine years of musical trajectory, in February 2008 they published their first long album called Un día en el mundo (TIP) which was warmly welcomed by the public as well as by the specialised critics. Three years later, in 2011, they published their second album, Mapas (TIP). On the 8th of April 2014, they published their third album called La deriva (TIP) after having gone some years on tour (ST) in Spain and other countries. The band is called after the character Morla of The Neverending Story (TIP), the huge old turtle, due to the fact (SS) that “vetusta” means old, elderly (ST in what language?).
