Terri's weight: max of 200 vs. 250

[edit]

Yes. Arian Campo-Flores is incorrect in this article [1]

Newsweek and the Washington Post started in March 2005 using "250 pounds". This error appears to originate in the Wolfson guardian ad litem report of December 2003. [2] He got it wrong. I don't know where he pulled the 250 number from and he doesn't give a footnote for it. His total involvement in the case was 30 days. In all the prior reports of Terri's 1981 maximum weight, it is given as 200 and the many familiy photographs which have been published support than number. If there's something prior to December 2003 indicating a maximum weight of 250, I'd like to see the citation.

What really matters is that her weight had been stable 1988 to 1990 and she was in excellent health. Her period of rapid weight loss was 8 or 9 years prior to 1990. If she were ever to have suffered a collapse from lack of potassium it would have been in 1981 through 1983 when the strain on her system would have been the greatest. patsw 20:12, 5 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
