Page rename

[edit]

I hope my rename to Personal Rights in Defense and Education is ok with you? CTJF83 chat 06:46, 4 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Look at the very last sentence at Wikipedia:Naming conventions (companies), I guess I would assume the company prefers PRIDE, as it has a double meaning for gay pride and the acronym. I think you should either pick PRIDE as the article name or Personal Rights in Defense and Education, but not both as the article title. Note how the opening sentence I added clarifies both names. But if you are really set on having it the original name you used, I will change it back for you. CTJF83 chat 19:29, 4 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Are you ok with the naming, or do you want me to change it back? I'm willing to change it, if thats what you prefer CTJF83 chat 19:40, 4 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Sounds great...If you have any questions, or need help with any LGBT articles, please ask me, and I'll be glad to help CTJF83 chat 02:17, 5 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
When I see a reference, I assume it refers only to the sentence it directly follows. Per here it does say that you can put a reference at the end of the sentence or paragraph. Since the source is a book, I can't check the accuracy, I am in NO WAY saying what you have written is inaccurate or false. The first thing I would do is simply message User:Are You The Cow Of Pain? and let him/her know that you sourced it so that a reference sources the whole paragraph and not just the sentence it follows. On the other hand, it wouldn't be too hard just to throw the references where s/he has added the [citation needed] tags. I'm going to be out of town until Sunday night, so this is all the help I can provide till then, I can help you more on Sunday. CTJF83 chat 15:06, 10 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Are you satisfied with my response? I noticed you greatly improved the article by adding sources, if you have any further issues or questions with this or any article/user, please, don't hesitate to ask me for assistance. CTJF83 chat 22:13, 13 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi PinkCityHistorian, I have converted the citations to a more readable format. You might want to check the following: The book

  • Faderman, Lillian; Timmons, Stuart (2006). Gay L.A.: a history of sexual outlaws, power politics, and lipstick lesbians. Basic Books. ISBN 9780465022885. {{cite book}}: Invalid |ref=harv (help)

as published by University of California Press is given the publishing date of 2009, not 2006. The book has before been published by Basic Books, in 2006. Please make sure which book you quoted from, otherwise the pagination might be wrong. --Pgallert (talk) 17:05, 27 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
