- Hi Tacyarg! Thank you for your message. I am very new to editing, and I am glad that you let me know about this info! Pingho.89 (talk) 03:28, 24 August 2024 (UTC)
Hello, I'm Tacyarg. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person on Janet Biggs, but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now. Wikipedia has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Do you know, work for or represent Biggs? Tacyarg (talk) 21:28, 26 August 2024 (UTC)
- Hi Tacyarg, yes I am assistant to Biggs but I am very new to Wiki, my apologies to my mistakes. We do have some other members help updating her info and checking the sources, but we are still working on it. Pingho.89 (talk) 21:45, 26 August 2024 (UTC)
- I would appreciate if you can let me know what citations and sources I am missing! Thank you very much with your help. Pingho.89 (talk) 21:47, 26 August 2024 (UTC)
Managing a conflict of interest
[edit]Hello, Pingho.89. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Janet Biggs, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{edit COI}} template)—don't forget to give details of reliable sources supporting your suggestions;
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest § How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam § External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicizing, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Tacyarg (talk) 22:11, 26 August 2024 (UTC)
