This article will be used to write up information for both ‘Background’ and ‘Style/Genre’ as Woolf explores in depth the methodology of Bacon and briefly unpacks what were some key political events that prompted the writing of History. Bergeron’s article is credible as he is a professor who has published multiple books focused on the literary period in which Francis Bacon wrote History such as, King James and Letters of Homoerotic Desire (1999). [2] 3.Brian Vickers, who was a Professor Emeritus of English Language and Literature at ETH Zurich, wrote the introduction to and edited The History of the Reign of King Henry VII and Selected Works (1998).
