Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia

The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome! Poetry

[edit]

Poetry is not, in general, exempt from copyright rules. Please see more information at this page: Wikipedia:WikiProject_Poetry#Quoting_from_poems_and_copyright_issues.

Some poems, such as the oven bird are in the public domain and can be quoted in their entirety. In those cases, it would be helpful if you used the specialized template {{poem}} as discussed in the link above.--S Philbrick(Talk) 12:49, 4 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I see that you asserted it is public domain, which may allow inclusion, but you still must include a proper reference. See Help:Referencing for beginners --S Philbrick(Talk) 16:53, 4 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
