Somebody's working hard! :-) Deb (talk) 14:33, 22 July 2012 (UTC)
- Diolch, Deb. Am trying to put being "laid up" for a few days to good use by using the time to return to an old haunt and plug some of those gaps in the YinW series ...and besides, doing this kind of thing turns up lots of interesting stuff in the best Wiki-serendipitous style :-) --Picapica (talk) 14:43, 22 July 2012 (UTC)
Thanks! :-)
Thanks for copy-editing Blosenbergturm! I recently stumbled upon this article and did the most needed updates, but thought that it seemed to be a bit shaky, language-wise... Gestumblindi (talk) 16:47, 13 November 2012 (UTC)
- Bitte sehr! I only hope that I have not misunderstood any of the more technical aspects of the subject. One lives and learns when editing Wikipedia... :) -- Picapica (talk) 17:50, 13 November 2012 (UTC)
- Looks fine to me, though I'm also not a radio technology expert. This tower has iconic status in Switzerland, as "Beromünster" was nearly synonymous with radio in former times... Gestumblindi (talk) 19:16, 13 November 2012 (UTC)
- Even here in the UK it was legendary because it appeared on all the old-fashioned radio dials. As a child – well before I knew where any of the places were – I was familiar with the place-names Beromünster, Allouis, Sottens, Hilversum, Kalundborg... As the Dutch say, "Da's jeugdsentiment!" -- Picapica (talk) 09:35, 14 November 2012 (UTC)
- Oh yes, these names are very familiar to me, too *nostalgic sigh* :-) Gestumblindi (talk) 22:21, 20 November 2012 (UTC)
River Ystwyth
I note your edits to the River Ystwyth in which you give the area as 186 sq Km and quote Mike Brooker's paper sponsored by the then Craig Goch Committee (of which incidentally I was a member). The Area that Mike gave then is at odds with what the South West River Authority states to be the area at 193 sq Km as stated in the Authority's First Water Resource Survey Report, published in December 1970; Page 41 Table 1. I would prefer the latter as a more reputable source but would welcome your view. Regards Velella Velella Talk 12:16, 30 November 2012 (UTC)
- Do please go ahead and adjust the figure and reference. I was simply casting about for a reference (as the article had lacked information on length, etc.) and in the short term this was the best that I could come up with! (Perhaps you would be good enough to check the figures in the River Rheidol article too, as I used the same source there.) -- Picapica (talk) 12:28, 30 November 2012 (UTC)
