Question

I notice you have a fancy signature (which looks cool). But I'm wondering-- do you have a way of typing in four tildes (four of these-- "~") to make your fancy signature then automatically appear?

Or do you have another short-cut way to do it?

Or do you have to always cut and paste in the code for your fancy signature each time?

Thanks in advance for any tips. Appreciatively.

Chesapeake77 >>> Truth

Hi @Chesapeake77! I do have a way of adding my signature by typing four tildes. The way to change it from the automatic signature is very simple. What you need to do is, navigate to https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Special:Preferences, and scroll down until you see "Signature". Copy your signature's html code into the text box and check "Treat the above as wiki markup" and then press save. This will make your tilde signature the custom signature you've designed as long as it 255 characters or shorter (yours is 215 characters in length, so in theory, you could add even more to you signature if you like). By the way, I think your signature looks very nice! Physeters
Pinging @Chesapeake77--Physeters 17:32, 19 April 2022 (UTC)
Oh, and I forgot, if you want the signature to show up on other wikimedia websites, you have to update your signature in the same manner as laid out above on each website. So for example, if you wanted to update it on Wikimedia Commons, you would go to https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:Preferences and do the same as instructed above for Wikipedia. Physeters 17:37, 19 April 2022 (UTC)
Thanks so very much for taking the time to explain this! :)
And thanks for the compliment on my sig!
I hope it's OK that I copied all of this to my Sandbox, just in case you want to clear things off over here at some point.
Most appreciatively,

@Chesapeake77 You are very welcome. It is perfectly fine to keep a copy of this correspondence, though I don't intend to blank this section any time soon. Please let me know when you get it all working! Physeters 06:50, 20 April 2022 (UTC)

Talk page etiquette

Just an FYI, but it is generally best practice to strike out your comments once they are outdated or if you are correcting an error once anyone has commented in reply. The change you made at the Vex/Heraldry Wikiproject isn't problematic, but it can cause unnecessary drama at more contentious forums. BTW, my suggestion still stands: you have a physical flag; that should be your lodestar in vectorizing. VanIsaac, MPLL contWpWS 03:42, 2 June 2022 (UTC)

Thanks for the advice @Vanisaac. I will strike out outdated comments going forward. As to which flag to use, I am going to give it a couple of more days to see where consensus falls, but more likely than not, I will end up going with your suggestion. Physeters 05:13, 2 June 2022 (UTC)

Could you please create a map like you did for the occupied territories of Kyiv and Kharkiv Oblasts, just as you did with the other occupation pages? Danielg532 (talk) 22:06, 1 October 2022 (UTC)

Could you please make a map for the Mykolaiv Oblast Occupation

Hello, sorry to bother you again but could you please create another map for the occupation of the Mykolaiv Oblast with Pervomaiske and Novopetrivka since they are the 2nd and 3rd most populous areas in the occupation authority? Thanks! Danielg532 (talk) 23:43, 3 October 2022 (UTC)

@Danielg532 I'll just add them to the current Mykolaiv map. Physeters 00:17, 4 October 2022 (UTC)
Partly done I've added Novopetrivka. However, Pervomaiske appears to be under Ukrainian control, not Russian.

Yep, that's definitely a typo. I accidentally typed something in that line and I guess I didn't fully clear it. I apologize and hope it didn't break anything. Thanks for the heads up @Nurg. Physeters 23:40, 8 October 2022 (UTC)

Hey Physeters, I just wanted to say thanks for fixing (just about) all of the w3c errors on the Russian Invasion of Ukraine map, as there was a quite lot of them for quite a long time. That's it 🙂 Johnson524 (Talk!) 15:18, 7 November 2022 (UTC)

Edit to Module:Russo-Ukrainian War detailed map

Russian vessels according to their news have already completely taken the Luhansk region. Well, you have already understood the hint?))) 46.138.11.160 (talk) 15:14, 14 December 2022 (UTC)

I'm not quite sure I understand what you're trying to say, but that is probably because of poor translation. As far as I know, Russian forces control around 99% of Luhansk Oblast, with Ukraine controlling a few small villages along the border with Donetsk & Kharkiv Oblasts. Russia has advanced around Kreminna in the past couple of days. Is that what you are referring to, or are you trying to say that since the Russian media says that they have full control of Luhansk, that it must be true/false? Physeters 19:01, 14 December 2022 (UTC)
practically yes, the whole Luhansk region Arabik4892 (talk) 20:28, 14 December 2022 (UTC)
