This is your Talk page where you can receive messages from other Wikipedians and discuss things with them. At the end of your messages you should always enter your signature by signing with four ~~~~ or by pressing the button in the editor shown here in the picture. By the way, it is not necessary to sign edits that you make in the articles themselves as those messages will be deleted. My name is Brendon. If you have any questions or face any initial hurdles, post {{helpme|your question}} on your talk page (this page), someone will quickly come up and attend to your query. And also, feel free to contact me on my talk page and I will do what I can to assist. Good Luck Editing!

Probable Errors Regarding CA's 50th and 5nd congressional districts

[edit]

Hi,

I don't feel well enough versed on this to actually edit the page but I'd like someone who knows more about the subject to consider my points. Here's a map to refer to: http://www.co.san-diego.ca.us/voters/Eng/maps/Cust-Rdy_Congress.jpg

This article and anchor http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/United_States_House_of_Representatives_elections_in_California,_2012#District_50

says:

  District 50
The 50th district is based in inland San Diego County and includes Escondido and Santee.

This is not true AFAIK. The 50th district as it exists in 2012 contains Escondido, Carlsbad, DelMar; and Rancho Penasquitos, Mira Mesa, and MCAS Miramar, all in the City of San Diego. It is as much coastal as inland and is not even close to Santee.

Down a little farther on the same page, find:

  District 52
The 52nd district is based in coastal San Diego and includes La Jolla and Poway

Looking at the same map, you can see it doesn't even touch the coastline and doesn't cross SR-163 and I-805 so it doesn't include any part of LaJolla (covered by the 50th and 53rd districts).

Some of these errors may be from the redistricting done after the 2010 census, the but the label atop each chart of candidates on this page says "California's XXth congressional district primary election, 2012" so the articel should be current.

Thanks for all the wonderful info you provide to the world.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Draft:Xe8472 requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from http://www.mactech.com/2016/03/17/kool-tools-xe8472-photoshop-plug. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
