You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Draft:JumperCut, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. O.C.

[edit]

You may feel as if you re-founded the Oregon Crusaders, but you cannot "found" what already exists... While you may have "re-organized" what was already there, to say that you "re-founded" the unit is more of a stretch than including the founding date of the original Oregon City corps which had passed into obscurity before the Southern Oregon Crusaders moved to Portland and shortened their name in 2001... User:GWFrog

I'm pretty new to Wikipedia, so not sure how it all works. First, I appreciate you being on here and having so much interest in OC. At the end of 2006, the group basically folded as a result of all the staff leaving, and so we did reconstitute it from scratch (what we term as a refounding). But you are correct, the organization was documented as a 501c3 nonprofit corporation in 2000 (not 2001). This was while being the Southern Oregon Crusaders. It wasn't until after the refounding in 2007 that it was officially changed to be just Oregon Crusaders with the IRS. So technically there is some true "founding" of the new legal entity that occurred in 2007. Also, thanks for your understanding of the logo change. As the person who reconstituted the organization and created the current logo, I am always reminding folks internally that the compass rose is a symbol of the organization, but not the logo.

Oregon Crusaders organization moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Oregon Crusaders organization, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. I am the President of the Board of Directors for the organization, and the content on the article was created by many people before the original article was deleted from Wikipedia because (we are guessing) we no longer host an active drum corps and the original article was about the drum corps itself. Hence the re-posting of the page as the organization rather than the drum corps. Our organization is a legal Oregon Corporation and a 501c3 nonprofit, and we have updated the article with those citations of our legal status and additional citations on our history and current works.
