Please help us the creation of new wikis for each of the Indian Ordnance Factory
[edit]- Hi,
- Thanks for the warm welcome. We would be needing your generous help for the creation of new wikis for the Indian Ordnance Factories, part of Ordnance Factories Board which is controlled by the Ministry of Defence, Government of India. It's world's largest government operated company and the oldest run by the GoI. It has served India for over two centuries and proven its reliability in both the World Wars, Indo Pakistani wars of 1965, 1971, 1999 and Indo Chinese war of 1962. Each of the factories is notable and is prime national importance. It would be a great help if you can help us with this or find some people who help us. Thanking you in anticipation. --BharatRakshak (talk) 14:35, 10 September 2012 (UTC)

Page Curation update
[edit]Hey all :). We've just deployed another set of features for Page Curation. They include flyouts from the icons in Special:NewPagesFeed, showing who reviewed an article and when, a listing of this in the "info" flyout, and a general re-jigging of the info flyout - we've also fixed the weird bug with page_titles_having_underscores_instead_of_spaces in messages sent to talkpages, and introduced CSD logging! As always, these features will need some work - but any feedback would be most welcome.
Thank you for the green

As if I care about being blocked from editing, by people who have a pro islamic agenda to allow biased rewriting of wikipedia pages entirely from islamic agendas of cleaning the muslim black marks, and making the people massacred by muslims seem as dehuman to justify the muslim murders of them.
Go and block away, wikipedia is not the only way that the world learns history. But it is supposed to be fair and impartial, not one sided.
The page should have a notice stating that it is biased and one sided if you keep it as it is only boasting about muslim victories over the unhuman people they killed, and that muslims did no wrongs. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.240.117.208 (talk) 15:30, 11 September 2012 (UTC)

Declinining my previous article ""The TCO Rule""
[edit]I am most appauled that you would choose to decline my page for the reason it is morw humorous than factual, I strive for nothing but credible facts in my articles, gettin my sources down to a tee. Furthermore the fact that you believe wilipedia is full of factual information is laughable as everytime i look something up o this website (which admittedly I do) i have to double check the facts. With the clause that anyone can edit a page wikipedia is scrawled with random mierde del toro. Contacting our students
[edit]Hi, Pharaoh, I appreciate the welcome message you just left for one of our students, but I think that it contains some advice that might be confusing to him. I wish you would coordinate your contacts with me, the class' ambassador, first. They already have an enormous amount of tutorial material to absorb, as you would know if you check out our course page, and I'm acutely concerned with not overwhelming them. I left a reply on your welcome message to our professor, here, but you never responded. Klortho (talk) 10:51, 18 September 2012 (UTC)

Page Curation newsletter - closing up!
[edit]Hey all :).
We're (very shortly) closing down this development cycle for Page Curation. It's genuinely been a pleasure to talk with you all and build software that is so close to my own heart, and also so effective. The current backlog is 9 days, and I've never seen it that low before.
However! Closing up shop does not mean not making any improvements. First-off, this is your last chance to give us a poke about unresolved bugs or report new ones on the talkpage. If something's going wrong, we want to know about it :). Second, we'll hopefully be taking another pass over the software next year. If you've got ideas for features Page Curation doesn't currently have, stick them here.
Again, it's been an honour. Thanks :). Okeyes (WMF) (talk) 12:14, 17 October 2012 (UTC)
question about how to treat editors working on an "educational assignment"
[edit]Hi
I've been editing wikipedia for a few years now and have been working on articles related to genetic engineering. One of the article recently got a huge/sudden makeover (one big change as oppposed to the usual incremental changes) and when I went to look at the userpage of the editor who did this, I found a message from you, that the editor was working on some sort of "educational assignment". Here is my question. Your note says: "It is highly recommended that you place this text:This article is currently the subject of an educational assignment. |
What does it mean when an existing article is used as an "educational project"? And how should edits by someone doing an "educational project" be treated? I have no idea what it means to "treat accordingly". I treated the edits like any other and did a boatload of work to bring the article back to the quality it had prior to this editor's insertion and then beyond. This is not a newsletter
[edit]Anyway. You're getting this note because you've participated in discussion and/or asked for updates to either the Article Feedback Tool or Page Curation. This isn't about either of those things, I'm afraid ;p. We've recently started working on yet another project: Echo, a notifications system to augment the watchlist. There's not much information at the moment, because we're still working out the scope and the concepts, but if you're interested in further updates you can sign up here.
In addition, we'll be holding an office hours session at 21:00 UTC on Wednesday, 14 November in #wikimedia-office - hope to see you all there :). I appreciate it's an annoying time for non-Europeans: if you're interested in chatting about the project but can't make it, give me a shout and I can set up another session if there's enough interest in one particular timezone or a skype call if there isn't. Thanks! Okeyes (WMF) (talk) 11:16, 10 November 2012 (UTC)

Issues In Darusman Report
[edit]About - Removing speedy deletion of Talk:Issues In Darusman Report. I got message saying the page has copywrite issues so it was nominated for speedy deletion. So I removed the copywrite material and fairly thought issue is over. Sorry for any inconveniences. I also believe there should not be a separate page for Issues In Darusman Report. It can clearly merged into the UNSG's report. But political issues lead me to do it without having options. Some authors with the help of authoritative users trying to keep UNSG's report as 100% white washed report. Last time when I tried to add negative feedback on UNSG's report (By official response of UNHRC commitee) I was warned and they threaten to block me. They didn't allowed to add negative feedback on UNSG's report saying that I am blocking the negative side of the LLRC report. You can read the discussion in http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Talk:Report_of_the_Secretary-General%27s_Panel_of_Experts_on_Accountability_in_Sri_Lanka If you can take care that I won't be blocked if I merged the content to the UNSG's report , I can do the merge --Himesh84 (talk) 17:39, 26 November 2012 (UTC)

One Pound Fish
[edit]Hi, I am not really sure how this works and if I am doing it correctly. The One Pound Fish song is a viral hit on YouTube. You can check the upload dates to find that my video (Meeting the legendary one pound fish man) and another video were the first to post him up on YouTube (March 2012). Colin Miller then came along (April 2012) and claimed in his title that his version was the original, thereby attracting most views. This is completely false and incredibly frustrating that he is credited as finding One Pound Fish man when he was not. You can verify this by checking the upload dates on YouTube. Please could you change the One Pound Fish page back to the accurate information.
Many thanks! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mangs786 (talk • contribs) 22:10, 20 December 2012 (UTC)

Hi, I note that you have created the above article recently. As it's very similar to White Flag case you might want to merge the two articles into one.--obi2canibetalk contr 18:45, 4 March 2013 (UTC)
- The White Flag case deals only with trial of Sarath Fonseka over the interview with Sunday Leader it is a Sri Lankan court case will expend it and further it needs a separate article it is one most important in Post colonial Sri Lanka and White Flag incident is different it deals with the killing on May 18th 2009 .we can have 2 articles and expend them.We have very strong References for both of them and can expend the court case is different from the events on May 18th 2009. EDITS
[edit]Edits made by me were appropriate for misinformation & biased & inappropriate headings. I might suggest you read the edits before a bot wipes them away instead of removing correct information. IE: The 1964 murders in Neshoba County MS & LYNCHINGS as a subject to civil rights & lynchings of blacks in the South instead of covering the whole of US history. This is a lot of misinformation plus inaccurate & biased towards a certain group of peoples during the 500 years of US history. RE: ClueBot NG -LYNCHING- "Mob violence arose as a means of enforcing white supremacy and verged on systematic political terrorism. "The Ku Klux Klan, paramilitary groups, and other whites united by frustration and anger ruthlessly defended the interests of white supremacy."
I lived 22 miles from the murders & watched the TV everyday as news unfolded. I read every newspaper account. I watched the local, Meridian & national Walter Cronkite, news as reported. I have books & articles on the subject. Now I know firsthand why people don't trust the information in Wiki as just anyone can write just about anything they want on any subject whether right or wrong. PERIOD! Maybe I should put my historical & fictional talets to work here woven together make fantasy realistic. They just might be appreciated. :) — Preceding unsigned comment added by MSNanCaroL (talk • contribs) 04:13, 14 March 2013 (UTC)
