Logicalis UK Page Update
Hi Phantomsteve, Would it be possible if you couyld take a look at the draft I've worked on. Please keep in mind it is very much a draft as there isn't a great deal of information yet, and I do have much more info I can add, but I want ot check now to get your opinion if this is correct, and if so I will continue working on it. As you'll see the page has a history section; here a timeline will show into which countries the company has expanded in which years as well as in which years the company has taken on new solutions as part of it's portfolio. Please see the page here in my sandbox: Logicalis UK Kind regards, Bargyy (talk) 12:01, 3 February 2014 (UTC)
- Thanks for contacting me. To be honest, I do not think it is anywhere near ready for inclusion - there is so little information, and all the sources provided are 'routine announcements' based on press releases issued by the company. What you need are lots more reliable sources which are independent of the company, and which have significant coverage of the company. If you can find these, use them - and come back to me again, when you feel that the article is nearer to being placed in the main space. PhantomSteve/talk|contribs\ 00:22, 5 February 2014 (UTC)
Judy Martin deletion
I noticed you deleted the Judy Martin (journalist) page a few years back. You might want to reconsider, especially since she just died. I don't know if she won a a NY Emmy or not, but she was still an actual person and an anchor on News 12. That still merits a short listing, which will be sought by people like me in the wake of her passing. — Preceding unsigned comment added by LiveWire (talk • contribs) 16:18, 4 February 2014 (UTC)
- It was actually a year and a half ago, and as a result of the discussion held at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Judy Martin (journalist). The consensus back then was that she did not meet the notability criteria.
- Of course, while it is sad that she has died, the criteria for inclusion is more than just being an "actual person" (otherwise I'd get an entry!) - and an anchor on News 12 Long Island is not sufficient to meet the criteria for inclusion (the notability criteria for entertainers says they should have "had significant roles in multiple notable films, television shows, stage performances, or other productions", "a large fan base or a significant "cult" following." or "Has made unique, prolific or innovative contributions to a field of entertainment" - Judy didn't meet the criteria)
- I would suggest that the best place for people to look for information about her (and the one that most would probably use) is a Google search for "Judy Martin News 12" - see here for the results. Regards, PhantomSteve/talk|contribs\ 00:34, 5 February 2014 (UTC)
