Hi. You left an unsigned note on my user discussion page about my labeling of the photograph of a hand making a guitar cord. I think we have different interpretations of the meaning of the word "chord." In the usage I have seen most often, and the one that appears in the introduction to Chord (music), a chord is determined only by the notes it contains and is independent of their sequence; inversions are only variations of chords. Under this interpretation, the photograph does indeed shows a C major chord being played; specifying the inversion as C/G might be helpful but is not necessary. If you can show that standard musical references define a chord as being dependent on the root—so that, for example, C E G is a different chord from G C E, not just a different inversion of the same chord—then I suggest that you change or amend the definition in Chord (music) accordingly.
