A tag has been placed on Image:Destroyed building in South Ossetia.jpg, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

copyvio per copyright statement on originating website. [3]

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on [[Talk:Image:Destroyed building in South Ossetia.jpg|the article's talk page]] explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Ian¹³/t 22:25, 14 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Copyvio image uploads

[edit]

Please stop uploading images that are blatant copyright violations. The copyright page you've linked on these images does not state the images can be used freely, it states that any use is prohibited. This kind of deliberate uploading of copyvio images is very serious and continuing to do so will result in blocking. Nobody of Consequence (talk) 22:45, 14 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I did not delete the images you uploaded, an administrator did. All I did was tag them as copyright violations, which they were (ss I explained just above). You can't just take images from the internet and upload them here. You tagged them as being free images when they were not. Read this for more information [1]. Specifically, the copyright notice on the pages you took those images from (which you then uploaded to Wikipedia with a fraudulent license) says "Запрещается любое использование фото, графических, информационно-графических, видео, аудио и иных размещенных на сайтах материалов, принадлежащих Агентству и иным лицам.", which translates as "Any use of pictures, graphics, video, audio and other stuff that appear on the site and belong to the agency or other persons is prohibited." If you would like more information, please contact the administrator who deleted your images. Nobody of Consequence (talk) 07:41, 15 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
If you really want a proper explanation for why you can't upload these images to wikipedia under a free license, please ask someone on the administrator's noticeboard. Go ahead and just copy and paste what you put on my talk page, that will get you an answer very quickly. Nobody of Consequence (talk) 07:58, 15 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Политический труп

[edit]

Привет. Since you created two versions of the same article, I redirected Политический труп to Political corpse. You may want to add the Russian version to the Russian Wikipedia, however. Cheers, BalkanFevernot a fan? say so! 09:37, 10 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
