This is your last warning. The next time you vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Yoshiki (musician), you may be blocked from editing without further notice. X Japan's article states they are heavy metal, do not change it to rock. Xfansd (talk) 16:52, 24 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Xfansd talk MuZemike -

I'm sorry, I as a volunteer didn't know Wikipedia's rules as I'm still learning. I admit that I know X Japan's members. The members of the band are pretty pleased with all the efforts the contributors (like you) have made. But recently some of the members started noticing some issues regarding their music genre. I will find more evidence why X Japan should not be categorized as just 'heavy metal', as much as they love that genre also. Their influences are Punk Rock, Hard Rock, New Wave, Classical, Metal, to name a few. Also, they are the pioneers of Visual Kei Rock. For these reasons it would be appropriate to classify them as "Rock." I strongly believe that the genre of the artist needs to be mutually decided on among music critics, artists and fans. Not only a few resources.

I really appreciate your help. 64.183.116.78 (talk) 02:08, 30 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
