User talk:Persia2099
November 2015
[edit] You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Xiongnu. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Please be particularly aware that Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made.
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Yakbul (talk) 05:18, 28 November 2015 (UTC)--Yakbul (talk) 03:18, 28 November 2015 (UTC)

October 2009
[edit]Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. When you make a change to an article, please provide an edit summary, which you forgot to do before saving your recent edit to Chariot. Doing so helps everyone to understand the intention of your edit and is especially useful when reading the edit history of the page. Thank you. Dougweller (talk) 08:21, 29 October 2009 (UTC)
Hello and welcome. Thanks for your important contributions and good luck. I am also new from a wikipedia point of view. I made a little edit there and will try to contribute more. The point is that I am not very good at finding images (of coins, flags, ...). But I will try to get some sources that may be helpful to us. Thanks. Xashaiar (talk) 09:12, 5 November 2009 (UTC)

[edit]Please do not introduce incorrect information into articles, as you did to Byzantine–Sassanid Wars. Your edits appear to be vandalism and have been reverted. If you believe the information you added was correct, please cite references or sources or discuss the changes on the article's talk page before making them again. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you. The Battle of Ctesiphon was a Roman victory, this is what the sources say and has been explained before. Dougweller (talk) 15:37, 17 January 2010 (UTC)
Please stop. If you continue to vandalize pages by deliberately introducing incorrect information, as you did to Battle of Ctesiphon (363), you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Please do not change this again, it was a Roman victory Dougweller (talk) 15:40, 17 January 2010 (UTC)
Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, but when you add content (particularly if you change facts and figures), as you have to the article Battle of Ctesiphon (363), please cite a reliable source for the content you're adding or changing. This helps maintain our policy of verifiability. Take a look at Wikipedia:Citing sources for information about how to cite sources and the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. You really have to stop this pov editing. Now you are calling the battle a strategic Sassanid victory, find a reliable source Dougweller (talk) 11:09, 18 January 2010 (UTC)

Blocked

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Sanandaj-2.jpg
[edit]A tag has been placed on File:Sanandaj-2.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. — Dædαlus Contribs 02:12, 13 March 2010 (UTC)

Thank you. — Dædαlus Contribs 03:04, 13 March 2010 (UTC)
Unblocked
[edit]Your unblock request has been forwarded to me by User:Ebraminio. Since the block was a long time ago and Ebraminio has vouched for your good will, I am unblocking you. I note, however, that there were substantial concerns back then not just about your image uploads but also about edit-warring and tendentious editing, so I expect you will do your utmost to demonstrate collaborative editing in the future. In that sense, happy editing and welcome back. – Fut.Perf. ☼ 12:07, 19 June 2014 (UTC)

Mughal Ancestry
[edit]Hi, Regarding your edit in the Mughal article, I agree that Akbar's mother was Persian. However, the discussion there is about having "Indian" ancestry versus Persian or Central Asian ancestry. Plus, although Mughals were Turkic in origin, they were Persianate. So saying "the first three emperors had both parents from Central Asian or Persian ancestry" should be accurate. Hope this clarifies. Thanks. Cabolitæ (talk) 07:17, 11 December 2018 (UTC)
Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution
[edit] Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Dacians into Wolves in folklore, religion and mythology. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution
. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. If you are the sole author of the prose that was copied, attribution is not required. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 22:22, 9 January 2019 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, I'm Jingiby. I noticed that you recently removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continual disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you.Jingiby (talk) 09:01, 12 January 2019 (UTC)
