No copies of primary sources

While using a public domain work as the basis for a Wikipedia article may be a good idea (see public domain resources for a selection), please do not include large source documents within articles. We try to collect free (public domain or copyleft) source documents in a single place, Wikisource, where they can be annotated and translated. This reduces duplication across wikis, and frees articles from the context of the source documents. Keep in mind that Wikipedia articles are subject to merciless editing, so if a document is the subject of an article, yet is included in it, it might not be the same document for long! Even long quotation sections should be moved‍—‌to Wikiquote.

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Titan cement

[edit]

Wikipedia is not governed by Titan Cement or by United Nations, but by Wikipedia rules and guidelines. Please read WP:MOSMAC. Please also read WP:EDITWAR and WP:CONSENSUS. Your edit will in any case soon be reverted, but I advice you to revert it yourself, unless you want to risk being blocked for disruptive editing. --T*U (talk) 20:12, 22 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

This last edit of yours seems to indicate that you do not have any intention of respecting the Wikipedia guideline WP:MOSMAC and self revert your addition of the FYROM formula. Please read the section below carefully, so that you are aware of the possible sanctions you may meet. --T*U (talk) 13:34, 23 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Discretionary sanctions on Balkans

[edit]
This message contains important information about an administrative situation on Wikipedia. It does not imply any misconduct regarding your own contributions to date.

Please carefully read this information:

The Arbitration Committee has authorised discretionary sanctions to be used for pages regarding the Balkans, a topic which you have edited. The Committee's decision is here.

Discretionary sanctions is a system of conduct regulation designed to minimize disruption to controversial topics. This means uninvolved administrators can impose sanctions for edits relating to the topic that do not adhere to the purpose of Wikipedia, our standards of behavior, or relevant policies. Administrators may impose sanctions such as editing restrictions, bans, or blocks. This message is to notify you that sanctions are authorised for the topic you are editing. Before continuing to edit this topic, please familiarise yourself with the discretionary sanctions system. Don't hesitate to contact me or another editor if you have any questions.

Hello, Peloponnisios. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Saints Raphael, Nicholas and Irene of Lesbos, for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:

  1. edit the page
  2. remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. save the page

Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

Macedonia naming

[edit]

Wikipedia is a community project, and in order to make it work, we need a common framework of rules for editors to follow. The guidelines of Wikipedia are part of this framework. One example is the guideline regarding the use of the name Macedonia. This has been discussed thoroughly and repeatedly, and the result is described in the guideline WP:MOSMAC. You are of course entitled to disagree with guidelines, and you will always have the possibility of suggesting changes to them. If there is consensus for changing a guideline, the guideline will change. But as long as a guideline is decided, refusing to follow it is disruptive and may result in sanctions, such as blocking editors from editing for a shorter or longer period.

Some topics are more controversial than others, the Balkans – including (and not least) the use of the name Macedonia – is one of them. In these topic areas, the administrators of Wikipedia have a freer hand to impose sanctions directly without prolonged discussions, in order to minimise disruptions. This is explained in the yellow template I placed further up on this page.

I see that you make many good edits to Wikipedia, so I am not happy to report you. But your refusal to follow the rules that have been created through discussions and consensus, is disruptive. We cannot have editors making their own rules in controversial topic areas. Before I report you, I will give you one last chance to change the FYROM formula yourself. Or if you prefer, you can leave it to me to do it. But please, do not throw away your chances of contributing to Wikipedia. Regards! --T*U (talk) 19:00, 24 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
