Hi,

[edit]

Hi,

I have reverted the edit you made to Wikipedia:WikiProject Islam as the Wikiproject name is Mosques and not Masjids. Feel free to ask for any clarifications. Best wishes -- Raziman T V (talk) 08:50, 26 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I understand your concern. But see what has happened as a result of you edit. You can see that the Masjids link is shown up in red. It results in people being unable to navigate to the Task force page. If you feel that the name of the task force should be changed, what you need to do is go to the taskforce talk page and request change of title there. Changing a link does not help.

A few other thoughts:

  • Can't we consider mosque as just the English word for Masjid? For one, we do not have any word such as Prophet in Qur-an on Hadeeth. But we call our Nabiyyeen as Prophets.
  • Fatwas do not stand on Wikipedia by themselves. All Muslims know that it is not a done thing to draw a painting of the Prophet. But see Muhammad

But try starting a discussion on the talk page anyway. Feel free to ask me if you have any further doubts -- Raziman T V (talk) 09:15, 26 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,

I am really glad to see your enthusiasm. I believe that we need more contributors in this field, as most of the articles I see are full of non-neutral mess - be it Sunni-Shia, Islam-anti-Islam or otherwise. I hope that your knowledge helps Wikipedia. Do edit and write article. It might be a good idea to read Wikipedia:Manual of Style (Islam-related articles). It explains certain conventions in Wikipedia articles (such as not using pbuh after the name of the Prophet, preferring mosque to Masjid and so on) with some explanation. I will be glad to help you in all my capacity -- Raziman T V (talk) 10:02, 26 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
