Conflict of interest / autobiography

[edit]

Information icon Hello, Pcstas. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Peacock (talk) 18:09, 26 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Please note that I (Peter Stas) contributed as founder of the brand to this page in past. Matter was hotly debated and finally settled, see Talk:Frédérique Constant — Preceding unsigned comment added by Pcstas (talkcontribs) 12:49, 30 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
This draft was permitted by DRV, and moved from User talk:Pcstas. A history merge is impractical as this is a user talk page. Please refer to User talk:Pcstas for attribution purposes. Xoloz 14:55, 9 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
(Minor note on editing history: The last comment above is a quote from Talk:Frédérique Constant, which was added here by User:Pcstas to illustrate what had occurred.) —BarrelProof (talk) 17:24, 31 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Alpina Watches

[edit]

Hi PCock, I see that you changed the Frederique Constant page, added Alpina Watches. This is a separate brand, in group, but not owned by Frederique Constant SA. Then, you removed Ambassadors and placed tags. Please note that I did not touch page since March 2018. Moreover, I know well procedures and Frederique Constant page has been checked by people high up in the Wikipedia hierarchy. Suggest that you reverse your edits, both Alpina (does not belong there) and ambassadors (common on watch brand pages). Thank you

Another mistake I see is that following was added "It was acquired in 2017 by Citizen Holdings". However, it was in 2016 as mentioned later in article: In May 2016, Citizen announced its intention to acquire Frederique Constant Holding SA, which includes Frederique Constant, Alpina Watches, and Ateliers deMonaco.[8]
