Bangor F C

[edit]

I note that you have been the main contributing editor to the Bangor F.C. article and in particular have added the names of the current squad etc.

Wikipedia's guidelines deprecates lists of unreferenced and un-linked names. Can you please either provide a reference for each name or for the list as a whole if you wish this information to remain in the article. Many thanks  Velella  Velella Talk   15:30, 12 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Haven't a clue about how to reply to your message about referencing the players names of Bangor FC other than to say I am a Director of the Club. Pcits (talk) 14:03, 15 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Wikipedia only permits names of people to be used if there is a reputable reference available to demonstrate that they are who the article says they are. Unless names are referenced, anybody can just add names at random without any checks and make the lists useless. If you are, as you say you are, a director of Bangor FC then it should be relatively simple to find a good reference. A reference doesn't have to be on-line, it just has to be reasonably available and reliable. I suspect that in a case such as this a match programme would be OK or a list in the Bangor Mail or Daily Post (although you would have to specify which edition). I would be happy to assist in inserting the reference if you can provide the source. Regards  Velella  Velella Talk   15:57, 15 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
