Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, Payjohn, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Ian and I work with Wiki Education; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

Be bold

[edit]

Please note that disambiguation pages like Be bold are meant to help readers find a specific existing article quickly and easily. For that reason, they have guidelines that are different from articles. From the Wikipedia:Disambiguation dos and don'ts you should:

  • Only list articles that readers might reasonably be looking for
  • Use short sentence fragment descriptions, with no punctuation at the end
  • Use exactly one navigable link ("blue link") in each entry that mentions the title being disambiguated
  • Only add a "red link" if used in existing articles, and include a "blue link" to an appropriate article
  • Do not pipe links (unless style requires it) – keep the full title of the article visible
  • Do not insert external links or references - Wikipedia is not a business directory

[edit]

Unfortunately, I have reverted your addition to 1985 in Mexico because it was mostly copied from https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/pdf/10.1111/blar.13107. The source is copyright and cannot be copied to Wikipedia. You may find it helpful to review the Wiki Education module on plagiarism and copyright. Please let me (or your instructor or one of the Wiki Ed coordinators) know if you have any questions. Thanks! DanCherek (talk) 02:58, 25 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
