John Gross (musician), Commercial References[edit]

Hello Paul, nice meeting you.

I did lot of work for your new article. On the top of it, I said "Congratulations." Didn't I? :-) Two things though.

1 - You keep removing my work and saying "Commercial references."

Now, this is your link, like all others:

You click on to it and it takes you to Allmusic. Right on the upper right hand side you see a clickable "BUY" tab. When you click on to it, It further takes you to Amazon.com

Isn't this commercial too?

Please explain.

2 - In the article you say:

  • John earned his jazz improv chops in L.A.’s jazz scene playing at venues such as the Hillcrest Club on Washington Boulevard [3] with jazz greats such as Ornette Coleman, Don Cherry, Gary Peacock, and Horace Tapscott, who were participants of the scene at the time, and the shapers of L.A. Jazz.

You provide a reference, so that the whole world can read about how "John earned his jazz improv chops in L.A.’s jazz scene" but yet, when you click on to the reference, you do not see his name anywhere. This article is about John Gross. If there is no direct connection, then this reference should not be used. I hope you do not expect people to buy the book first, to see the page# 149. Do you?:-)

I would like to hear your opinion about that. Cheers. Fusion is the future (talk) 19:11, 6 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
