I understand what you are saying and apologise if I have given offence. My motive was this: Writing about or reading about music is not the same as music. The only way to appreciate what is being said is to listen to the music and I hoped that by citing good examples of the various musical forms readers would be able to get more from the articles. One can say "this is pentatonic music in 6/8 time" and the reader will be little wiser, but if one can say "listen to this song", he will be able to completely understand (and, hopefully, enjoy) the music.
