Information icon Hello, I'm Meters. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Orillia Secondary School, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Meters (talk) 06:09, 21 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at Orillia Secondary School, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Maybe you should read the source. The source does not say that the school board required that the Candian flag be replaced by the Gay Pride flag, or that they both be flown on the same pole. Meters (talk) 21:59, 21 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

"The request to fly the Progressive Pride flag came through the board’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion department based on feedback received from students and staff. In support of these efforts, and to demonstrate our ongoing support of the 2SLGBTQI+ community, the Progressive Pride flag will be raised at all SCDSB schools from June 1 to June 10, 2024," explains the statement.
I won't add anything again if you really don't want me to (as, to be fair, it may seem jarring to add too much text to one single subsection), but you don't have to be that rude about it. Patriot of Canuckistan (talk) 23:54, 21 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
And you don't think it was rude to restore your improperly sourced material with the edit summary it is sourced, read the article. What part of my previous post The source does not say that the school board required that the Canadian flag be replaced by the Gay Pride flag, or that they both be flown on the same pole. did you not understand? You claimed "In early June of 2024, the school flew the Progress Pride flag on the flag pole where the national flag normally flies, in order to comply with a request from the Simcoe County District School Board's diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) department" with a source that does not say that. Yes, they ware required to fly the Gay Pride flag. You can say that. You cannot say, or imply, that the school required that it had to be on the flag same pole where the Canadian flag normally flies (at the same time as the Candian flag, or replacing it) unless you have a reliable source that actually says that. Again, Maybe you should read the source again..You've made the edit twice, I shouldn't have to undo you twice, warn you twice, and explain this twice. If you still don't understand the problem after reading the WP:V, WP:RS and WP:OR I pointed you to on my talk page, maybe you should add WP:SYNTH. And in case you didn't read my response on my talk page, your request to restore the info about the student's supposed response to the issue is exactly the same problem. It is a blog posting, which makes it an unreliable source, and even if it were a reliable source, it does not attribute the post to the student you claim made it. Meters (talk) 01:32, 22 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The school only has 1 flag pole, and flag policy states the national flag must always be alone. Thus, flying another flag is equivalent to replacing the Canadian flag. Whatever. I made it clear now. Hope you're happy. And I did read that, which is why I stopped disputing it. Patriot of Canuckistan (talk) 02:33, 22 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
It does not matter if the school anly has one flag pole. The sourrce does not say that the school district told them to fly the Gay Pride flag on the same pole as the Canadian flag. Again, read WP:SYNTH. Meters (talk) 03:27, 22 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop your disruptive editing.

If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at English Canada, you may be blocked from editing. Per WP:BRD you should not restore a contested edit. You completely rewrote the article, and then you restored it after your edit was contested. Discuss it on the article's talk page or leave it alone. Meters (talk) 00:08, 26 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
