[edit]Pages using Dutch data templates:
- Table of municipalities of the Netherlands
- Template:Single-column table row
- Template:Single-column table row/doc
- Movie theaters in the Netherlands
- User:Patrick/data Netherlands
They use
{{do for every Dutch municipality|table row Dutch municipality with province}}
{{do for every Dutch municipality|single-column table row}}
Thus Template:Do for every Dutch municipality has to use municipality names accepted by Template:Table row Dutch municipality with province[1]
When the article name of a municipality is no longer the name used in the do-template then:
- if there is a data template, only the article parameter needs to be changed
- if there is no data template then there are the following options[2]
- a data template is created with the old municipality name
- a data template is created with a new municipality name (typically the new article name) and the name in the do-template is replaced by the article name
Creation of a data template for a Dutch municipality:
- Use the link in User:Patrick/data Netherlands; if desired, change the name in the URL; in the preloaded data template fill in the parameters article and province, and save. If the name was changed, change it accordingly in the do-template.
Thus the name in the do-template does not have to be changed. If it is changed for other housekeeping reasons (such as municipal re-division, or a more suitable name):
- if there is a data template, rename it and change and add parameters accordingly: change the value of parameter 1 (name after "Data ") and add, if not there yet, parameters article and "short name")
- if there is no data template the possibilities are:
- create it (see above)
- change the name or add the new name in Template:Province Dutch municipality and Template:CBS-code Dutch municipality; this option requires that the new name is the article name, or at least redirects to it.
- ^ Template:Single-column table row always works, provided that if the data template exists it is correct.
- ^ The creation of a data template as explained is simpler than changing the name in the do-template, with the required changes elsewhere.
