Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, Paso Doble DJ, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that one of the first articles you created or edited appears to be an article about yourself. Creating an autobiography is a common mistake made by new Wikipedians—as this is an encyclopedia, we wouldn't expect to have an article about every contributor. We require individuals to meet Wikipedia's definition of a notable person to accept articles about them.

The page you created about yourself may well be deleted from the encyclopedia. If it is deleted and you wish to retrieve its contents, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page. If your contributions to an existing article about yourself are undone and you wish to add to it, please propose the changes on its talk page.

Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{help me}} before the question. Again, welcome! You have an obvious conflict of interest, please don't write about yourself, your friends or relatives and read the guidance below:

  • When you write about a person, you must provide independent verifiable sources to enable us to verify the facts and show that they meet the notability guidelines. Sources that are not acceptable include those linked to the person or an associated organisation, press releases, YouTube, IMDB, social media and other sites that can be self-edited, blogs, websites of unknown or non-reliable provenance, and sites that are just reporting what the person claims or interviewing them. Note that references should be in-line so we can tell what fact each is supporting, and should not be bare urls.
  • You must write in a non-promotional tone. Articles must be neutral and encyclopaedic, with verifiable facts, not opinions or reviews.
  • There shouldn't be any url links in the article, only in the "References" or "External links" sections.
  • You must not copy text from elsewhere. Copyrighted text is not allowed in Wikipedia, as outlined in this policy. That applies even to pages created by you or your organisation, unless they state clearly and explicitly that the text is public domain. We require that text posted here can be used, modified and distributed for any purpose, including commercial; text is considered to be copyright unless explicitly stated otherwise. There are ways to donate copyrighted text to Wikipedia, as described here; please note that simply asserting on the talk page that you are the owner of the copyright, or you have permission to use the text, isn't sufficient.

Your article was largely unsourced and highly promotional in tone.

Before attempting to write an article again, please make sure that the topic meets the notability criteria linked above, and check that you can find independent third party sources. Also read Your first article. Jimfbleak - talk to me? 10:42, 24 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

COI

[edit]

Please post messages at the bottom of a talk page, or they may be overlooked.

You wrote I am Jessica, the agent of genetic. I wrote the article of Paso Doble. If you are a paid agent You have an obvious conflict of interest and you must declare it. If you have a COI, you are very strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. If you do so, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at Paso Doble DJ. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Paso Doble DJ}}|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. Please provide the required disclosure. Note that editing with a COI is discouraged, but permitted as long as it is declared. Concealing a COI can lead to a block. Please do not edit further until you respond to this message.

Also, why have you chosen a user name that implies that you are this performer, and what is the "genetic" that you are an agent for?.

Turning to the article, your references are not suitable. Resident Advisor is self-written, not an independent third party source, and several of the pages you linked to don't even mention him. Same with tracklist, just confirms that a track exists, why is that notable? Similarly Spotify, Beatport Wikipedia and the like are all self written or otherwise unreliable sources.

Your text just gives your opinions on his music, I can't see any real facts to establish notability, such as awards that he has won or chart placings.

The text is just promo and opinions with no facts, such as took the Afro House Music scene by storm with his enigmatic background as a globetrotting Producer/DJ... His sound has captured the world with unexpected precision and ease since 2011 when his sound and name became synonymous with Afro House embraced by soulful vocals with such instant hits... mixed at numerous prestigious events all around the globe. His DJ career is currently blooming as witnessed by his numerous gigs in the most notorious night clubs in the World, spam, spam , spam and the rest is the same.

Your article was created in a single edit with largely meaningless refs, and looks as if it's just copied from somewhere, but I didn't check for that since there is nothing worth keeping anyway.

Please read my previous message, and have a look at Taylor Swift as an example of a music bio Jimfbleak - talk to me? 13:29, 24 July 2021 (UTC) Jimfbleak - talk to me? 13:29, 24 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for further post. I note that you have not responded to any of my queries in the second sentence of the message above. You must do so.
You said All the sources added in the article mention him or his music absolutely all of them. The very first one I tried was this, where is he mentioned?
You said I spoke with the one who wrote the page of Black Coffee (DJ) Who is that? Without knowing that I have no idea what qualifies him/her to make that call. As I've already said, self-written sources including music platforms are not RS. And it's no good complaining about what is acceptable as a reference, since your content is so blatantly promotional anyway, and would be deleted for that reason alone.
You said Can you please tell me Why https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Paso_Doble_(band) this one with 3 sources is accepted ? and why mine no ? Discogs is considered as a source but not for Paso Doble (DJ). The fact that other articles have not been deleted doesn't help you, either they met the criteria or should be deleted as well. See What about article x?. Also note that many articles would have been accepted before the notability guidelines were made stricter.
You said Took me 9 hours to finalize the work its not easy to see my work deleted in one second with a click., that may be so, but however long it took, you won't be allowed to post blatant promo here.
You said Paso Doble (DJ) is in the music industry since 2008, touring around the world, having an album and many EP's, his music is played by all the DJ/Producer's (Who have a Wikipedia page) Length of time in the music industry, releasing music and touring are not criteria for notability (and "all around the world" seems to amount to North America, France and Africa).
You seem to think that this is social media or free advertising, where you can post what you like. I posted lots of advice above which you have largely ignored, just complaining that other stuff is out there
You said for him its a full time job. I am an unpaid volunteer. I'm not sure why you expect me to help you promote him, that's what you are paid for, not me.
There is nothing to stop you carefully reading all the advice I've posted and then writing an encyclopaedia article complying with that, but I have no intention of restoring the fact-free spam you posted here.
