Why can't I edit Wikipedia?

Am I allowed to make these edits if I change my username?

Probably not. See WP:FAQ/Organizations for a helpful list of frequently asked questions by people in your position. Also, review the conflict of interest guidance to see the kinds of limitations you would have to obey if you did want to continue editing about your company, group, or organization. If this does not fit in with your goals, then you will not be allowed to edit again. Consider using one of the many websites that allow this instead.

What can I do now?

You are still welcome to write about something other than your company or organization. If you do intend to make useful contributions on some other topic, you must convince a Wikipedia administrator that you mean it. To that end, please do the following:

Add the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} on your user talk page.
Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:Listusers to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy.
Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In this reason, you must:

Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the edits for which you were blocked.
Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.

Request reason:

I understand that the username Paoliinc was blocked because that is the name of the company I wrote the article about which violates Wikipedia's rules. Also some of the wording was that of an advertisement and promotion which also voilates wikipedia rules. From this point on I will not make edits that promote a company for use of an advertisement, delete boxes, or contribute to the article Paoli, Inc. If I am unblocked, I will make contributions to articles editing thier content to make it appropriate for an encylcopedia and all errors are corrected.

Thank you for your reason, I will just add the standard questions we always use in these cases, so that there is no misunderstanding.

Here are a few key questions:

Do you understand that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, and not a business directory?
Do you understand conflict of interest?
Do you understand that to be considered for an encyclopedia article, the subject must be notable?

You are currently blocked because your username appears directly related to a company, group or product that you have been promoting, contrary to the username policy. Sounds good. I'd be willing to unblock you and change your username as requested, unfortunately the name "Tellus" has already been taken on the English Wikipedia, and a number of people have created accounts by the same name on other language Wikipedias. In conjunction that I understand that the username Paoliinc was blocked because that is the name of the company I wrote the article about which violates Wikipedia's rules, I also understand that my previous request for the new username Tellus is not available and that I did not respond with a new username in a timely manner. Thank you for accepting my reason SPhilbrick T. However, When I went to put in my request at Wikipedia:Changing username and tried to use the simple venue for changing my username, it wouldn't let me because it said my username is still blocked and was disabled by Alexf^(talk). I'm not sure what I need to do.
