Draupadi article
[edit]Hello! Should we add the story of Draupadi's previous birth (Indrasena), where she asked Shiva for husbands. Pls share your opinion. .💠245CMR💠.•👥📜 15:39, 19 November 2020 (UTC)
You can add that story as a separate section named "Previous Birth", but please find some credible sources. Bcoz KMG does not mention Indrasena/Nalayanti by name. Also Puranas mention tons of different theories. As per Devi Purana, she was Vedavati in previous birth, and as per another Purana, she was Maya Sita. Ok, thanks for your guidance .💠245CMR💠.•👥📜 03:32, 20 November 2020 (UTC)
I think you should add Beauty part in Birth section.https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Talk:Draupadi#Birth
@N1234567: I have merged the sections of Description with birth.

Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution
[edit] Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Arjuna into Draupadi. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution
. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. DanCherek (talk) 15:04, 6 March 2022 (UTC)
- @DanCherek: My apologies, I was not aware of this. Will fix it, thanks for the notification.
(Panchalidraupadi (talk) 15:11, 6 March 2022 (UTC))
- @DanCherek:Hello, Apologies for the bother. I tried checking the help pages related to "copied" template, but am getting a little confused on their usage with the examples given. Moreover, I wonder if there is any easier route to retrieve the id of a certain edit that was made long back other than scrolling down entire page history. Could you please help me and add the template to a talkpage of any one of the two: Arjuna and Draupadi. I will do the same for the other. Again, really really sorry for the bother.
Thanks, (Panchalidraupadi (talk) 18:40, 8 March 2022 (UTC))
- Hi Panchalidraupadi, the {{Copied}} template is good practice but optional. The important part is to indicate in the edit summary that you are copying text from another article. For example, if you are copying text from Arjuna to Draupadi, you should write this in the edit summary:
copied content from [[Arjuna]]; see that page's history for attribution
. I have already fixed this for you in this edit, so you don't need to worry about it in this case, but please keep it in mind for the future. Let me know if you have any questions. DanCherek (talk) 18:42, 8 March 2022 (UTC)

Samaresh Basu
[edit]Hi my friend. I hope you're fine. I am not sure you're right about reverting this edit. One sentence talks about early days, and the next is about a very different (and later) stage in life. My reasoning was that they warrant their own citations. But I won't revert your reversion. Have a lovely day, and thanks for all your great work on Wikipedia. Best regards, George Custer's Sabre (talk) 09:23, 26 October 2022 (UTC)
- @GorgeCustersSabre:Thanks for pinging. Actually, Samaresh Basu was born in 1924. So, in 1940-50s, he would be 16-26 years only! That was certain his early years. :) Also, both the parts come from the same news article, so I didnt post separate citations.-(Panchalidraupadi (talk) 09:28, 26 October 2022 (UTC))
