Good comparisons of how to take USC to FA status

[edit]

As you know, the best level any article can attain is Featured status (WP:FA). Of course, the criteria of what makes an article qualify differs from topic to topic (i.e. a math article would not need the same things an article about a movie would). Fortunately, all the FA university articles are listed here. It might be a good way to guide us all. --Bobak 16:47, 7 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Photo PD-violations, deletions

[edit]

Hello again, while we appreciate your dilligence in finding and uploading such exceptional historic photos of USC, three of your recent uploads did not meet the historic PD criteria: historic PD is any photo taken in the US before 1/1/1923. The photos of Mudd Hall (build 1929), Law School (build 1925) and Science Hall (first wing build 1924) were thus all unable to be historic-PD images (see here). As an Admin, I went ahead and deleted them. I apologize, and I can understand how frustrating our copyright policy can be, but it's enforced hard across the board and as a virtually all-volunteer organization without deep pockets we have to be quick on violations. If I can help you with any future images, please don't hesitate to leave me a message on my discussion page. All the best. --Bobak 22:27, 9 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on USC School of Policy, Planning, and Development, by UnitedStatesian (talk · contribs), another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because USC School of Policy, Planning, and Development is very short providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting USC School of Policy, Planning, and Development, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Please note, this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion, it did not nominate USC School of Policy, Planning, and Development itself. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot. --Android Mouse Bot 2 14:53, 25 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please take time to learn tags

[edit]

The "clean-up" tags on the USC season pages made no sense because they followed agreed upon structure. I know you're eager to help the project, but from your edit history you need to take a few moments to familiarize yourself with some of the rules and formats. --Bobak 14:53, 26 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

ncaa football championsip

[edit]

i reverted your change because the table on that page is based on that page not on what schools list. From the page itself: "Using only the sources from the National Championship Foundation or the "consensus" champion, the following teams have won the most championships since 1901:"

I suppose if you wanted to creat a table that listed whata each school recongized that could be done and listed on the page as well. Although that might be confusing to readers.Smith03 12:05, 11 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
