[edit]
Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames which give the impression that the account represents a group, organization or website, I have blocked this account; please take a moment to create a new account with a username that represents only yourself as an individual and which complies with our username policy or request a change of username.

You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose. Additionally, if your contributions to Wikipedia form all or part of work for which you are, or expect to be, paid, you must disclose who is paying you to edit.

Please also note that you are permitted to use a username that contains the name of a company or organization if it identifies you individually, such as "Sara Smith at XYZ Company", "Mark at WidgetsUSA", or "FoobarFan87".

If your username does not represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page.

You may simply create a new account, but you may prefer to change your username to one that complies with our username policy, so that your past contributions are associated with your new username. If you would prefer to change your username, you may appeal this username block by adding the text

{{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}

at the bottom of your talk page. Please note that you may only request a name that is not already in use, so please check here for a listing of already taken names.

 Thank you. Longhair\talk 08:52, 30 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Hello @Longhair,
I would also like to apply to change my username. Please guide me accordingly.
Sincerely,
Aakash Patni PaaSooTechnology (talk) 09:04, 30 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Hello @Yamla,
I truly understand the point of my blockage. Hence, I have applied to change my username. Coming from a telecommunications and verbal background I have only made my contributions in the field relevant to me. I see Wikipedia as the source of knowledge and always want to contribute from my end for its betterment. The only mistake I did was my username and I have already applied to change my username. I would request you to please lift my ban.
I assure you that this mistake won't happen again.
Sincerely,
Aakash P PaaSooTechnology (talk) 10:37, 30 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

 Hello @Longhair,
Thank you for your direction, but this was not brought to my attention before. I would like to reappeal for the reinstantement of this account so that I can change my username and follow the directions shared by you. I have made more than 10 edits and it would go in vain.
I request you to please consider my reasoning.
Sincerely,
Aakash Patni PaaSooTechnology (talk) 09:00, 30 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
You will need to choose a new username to continue editing as your current username violates the username policy. Please review the block notice for instructions. -- Longhair\talk 09:07, 30 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello @Onmyway22, I totally understand your concern I just wanted to make the page of my company where I am working at. I thought that I have received, the user status, hence I tried to create this page. I apologize to you if I missed any point. Your guidance is important to me. Please help me learn about the procedure and requirements to create a page in Wikipedia. LiAtPaaSoo (talk) 12:37, 3 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello LiAtPaaSoo. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:LiAtPaaSoo. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=LiAtPaaSoo|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. 331dot (talk) 06:46, 4 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello @331dot, I confirm that I am not being directly or indirectly paid for making edits neither for any sort of black-hat search-engine optimization. I also confirm to @Onmyway22 that I just want to create my first article on Wikipedia that's why I created that page. Your links have helped, but I still want some clarity on why my page should not be published. I request your guidance on the same. LiAtPaaSoo (talk) 10:04, 8 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
You say you work for the company- that makes you a paid editor, you don't have to be specifically paid to edit or specifically directed to edit. You must make the required disclosure. 331dot (talk) 10:06, 8 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
As to your draft, it was simply a directory listing-type entry, which is little more than an advertisement. A Wikipedia article about a company must summarize what independent reliable sources with significant coverage have chosen on their own to say about the company, showing how it meets the special Wikipedia definition of a notable company. Please review Your First Article. Writing a new article is the hardest task to perform on Wikipedia, and it's even harder with a conflict of interest. Please see WP:COI if you haven't already. 331dot (talk) 10:09, 8 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
