Ellipsis

[edit]

Hello, and thanks for your email about your changes to Ellipsis. The clarification about "coined" is a very good point. Since you have access to Toner's book, and seem to have much more knowledge on the subject than I do, I'd invite you to make the changes to the article that you find necessary. This includes removing the reference to Woolf from the text, if you think that's best... if she didn't coin the phrase "dot dot dot," I'm not sure it's noteworthy to mention her use of it at all, unless you think it's worth mentioning that she was an early user/proponent of the phrase. It's also fine to mention that there's uncertainly on the topic, if that's the case.

If you do change the wording of the article, please leave brief reason in the edit summary, and you might also post to the article's talk page. If you need help with any part of this, including the formatting (which can be tricky, and eluded me for years!) please drop me a line, either by email or on my talk page, and I'll be glad to help. Your additions and corrections are very welcome here. Thanks! Jessicapierce (talk) 23:25, 4 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
