[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Christiaan bailey has been reverted.
Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove unwanted links and spam from Wikipedia. The external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. The external links I reverted were matching the following regex rule(s): \bmyspace\.com (links: http://www.myspace.com/santacruzsoulsurfer).
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 20:24, 1 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  1. Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added to the page Christiaan Bailey do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia.

The external links I reverted were matching the following regex rule(s): \byoutube\.com (links: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kfxe0cadhqk). If the external link you inserted or changed was to a media file (e.g. a sound or video file) on an external server, then note that linking to such files may be subject to Wikipedia's copyright policy and therefore probably should not be linked to. Please consider using our upload facility to upload a suitable media file. Video links are also strongly deprecated by our guidelines for external links, partly because they're useless to people with slow internet connections.

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did in this edit to Christiaan Bailey. Inappropriate links include links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that serve as advertising or promotion. Thank you. Please do not add inappropriate external links, as you did with this edit to Christiaan Bailey. If you continue to do so, you will be blocked from editing. Eugene Krabs (talk) 22:58, 1 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  1. Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Christiaan Bailey. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Since Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by some search engines, including Google. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it.

Personal note

[edit]

Hi! Some of the links in the version of that article don't meet the external links guidelines. It would be a good idea for you to stop, read that guideline, and figure out which links are useful and which aren't. It would also be good if you talked with User:Eugene Krabs, either on the article talk page or his talk page, so you can work together on the best version of this article. What you're doing right now is called edit-warring; as you can see, it doesn't actually achieve very much, and is kind of disruptive. That's why Wikipedia has a rule under which people who undo other users' edits more than three times in 24 hours get blocked. I wanted to warn you about that rule before you break it; that seems only fair. To sum up: (1)stop, (2)talk, (3)agree, THEN (4)edit. Thanks! -FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 23:10, 1 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  1. Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Christiaan Bailey. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia.

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 24 hours in accordance with Wikipedia's blocking policy for violation of the three-revert rule. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make constructive contributions. If you believe this block is unjustified, you may contest the block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first. FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 01:13, 2 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Unfortunately, I had to block you for reverting other users' edits more than three times. I hope that, during your block, you'll find a way to discuss your disagreement with the other user; I can't find any attempts you've made to discuss it with him thus far. -FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 01:11, 2 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Peter Mel, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://petermel.com/petes_world/?p=12. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 23:55, 3 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hello. Concerning your contribution, Peter Mel, please note that Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted text or images obtained from other web sites or printed material, without the permission of the author(s). This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://petermel.com/petes_world/?p=12. As a copyright violation, Peter Mel appears to qualify for deletion under the speedy deletion criteria. Peter Mel has been tagged for deletion, and may have been deleted by the time you see this message.

If you believe that the article or image is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under the Creative Commons Attribution/Share-Alike License (CC-BY-SA) then you should do one of the following:

However, for textual content, you may simply consider rewriting the content in your own words. While we appreciate contributions, we must require all contributors to understand and comply with our copyright policy. Wikipedia takes copyright concerns very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. Thank you.  Blanchardb -MeMyEarsMyMouth- timed 00:05, 4 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Peter Mel requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this.  Blanchardb -MeMyEarsMyMouth- timed 01:10, 4 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
