No worries! I think myself that it would be better if before signing up new users were given a page to read about what Wikipedia is, and more importantly what it is not, but there is reluctance to put any kind of obstacle in the way of new users.

Be aware, though, that Wikipedia is not for any kind of advertising or promotion, and is very resistant to attempts to use it in that way. Before you edit about anything to do with yourself or your company, read the Wikipedia:Plain and simple conflict of interest guide.
