Hello
[edit]Hello, I noticed you edited a Hip Hop related article. If you wish you can join the new Hip Hop Wikiproject. --Chubdub 16:25, 16 April 2006 (UTC) |
Hip hop music
[edit]Can you add some of your edits to Hip hop music to the History of hip hop music as your edits are mostly history and we are trying to trim that to get Hip hop music back to featured. You can add other edits, but sourced please per WP:CITE. Thanks Jaranda wat's sup 19:44, 5 June 2006 (UTC)
Controversial edits to hip hop articles
[edit]Hello. This message is regarding the page Golden age hip hop. Before making potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Otherwise, people might consider your edits to be vandalism. Thank you. Λυδαcιτγ 21:48, 8 June 2006 (UTC)
OK, I see you really wanted to revamp the whole History of hip hop music system. It's going to take me a while to go through all your edits, but first I want to say thanks for your work. In the meantime, please leave things the way they are, with History of hip hop music as a summarized version of Golden age hip hop, Old school hip hop, etc. Λυδαcιτγ 21:50, 8 June 2006 (UTC)
- All right, I see why you made so many changes. How about this: we delete History of hip hop music, and move all the good content to Hip hop music. You seem to have started towards that by creating separate articles for Hip Hop's Diversification, for example. Sound OK? Λυδαcιτγ 22:02, 8 June 2006 (UTC)
- Actually, how about we do the reverse, and move all the good content from Hip hop music to History of hip hop music? The main reason for that is because Hip hop music is a long article already. Λυδαcιτγ 22:06, 8 June 2006 (UTC)
Wow, I just ripped though History of hip hop music... Hope you don't mind. And don't get discouraged about being WP:BOLD - your edits were what prompted all this. What do you think of the current state of the history section? Λυδαcιτγ 01:28, 9 June 2006 (UTC)
Just a sec...

[edit]And you know what, the more I look at your contributions, the more I'm impressed. So:
The Hip Hop Barnstar | ||
I, Λυδαcιτγ, award the Hip Hop Barnstar to PCP MC for excellent and thoughtful edits to History of hip hop music, among other articles, and even more importantly, as a reward for being bold. Congratulations! |
Haha, I got the message from you just as I was finishing working on the barnstar! Λυδαcιτγ 01:54, 9 June 2006 (UTC)
Structure of hip hop history section
[edit]In my mind: Hip hop music#History (most general) -> History of hip hop music (somewhat specific) -> Olf school hip hop, Golden age hip hop, etc. (specific) -> Artist/album pages themselves (very specific). I think the biggest problem right now is that History of hip hop music is too specific, and Golden age hip hop is not specific enough. Λυδαcιτγ 01:58, 9 June 2006 (UTC)

Citation needed
[edit]For this statement. I realize you know a great deal about hip hop, but it seems that this statement is controversial, so it would be great if you could find a good source for it. Thanks, Λυδαcιτγ 23:38, 27 June 2006 (UTC)
- No problem; I'll do the citation. For future reference: {{cite book}}. Λυδαcιτγ 03:30, 28 June 2006 (UTC)
- Are you sure it's "Straight Out of Hollis"? That turns up no meaningful hits on Google. Λυδαcιτγ 03:49, 28 June 2006 (UTC)
- OK, cited. Thanks! Λυδαcιτγ 04:48, 28 June 2006 (UTC)
Re: This so-called List of G-Funk Artists
[edit]Created at List of G-funk musicians, along with List of G-funk producers. I used the old version of the G-funk article, but didn't create a List of G-funk albums, since this seemed less important. If you think it would be useful, feel free. Λυδαcιτγ 20:20, 4 July 2006 (UTC)

Oh, My God (album)
[edit]A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Oh, My God (album), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you agree with the deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add {{db-author}}
to the top of Oh, My God (album). Mdsummermsw (talk) 16:42, 22 February 2008 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free media (Image:Elzhieuropass.jpg)
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Elzhieuropass.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 12:08, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
AfD nomination of We Mean Business

Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? ukexpat (talk) 19:56, 2 July 2008 (UTC)

[edit]I must ask, why you would delete all the other sections and sub-sections to make one large one that doesn't seem to fit all the information? They're all different issues, they deserve to be in different sections and sub-sections. It just doesn't seem right. (And you've screwed up the refs.) --HELLØ ŦHERE 17:12, 5 April 2009 (UTC)
- I think it looks horrible and very unprofessional and very unencyclopedic. I'm not saying my version was the best, and we should definitely work to improve it. But I personally think your edit takes away much needed information. --HELLØ ŦHERE 17:15, 5 April 2009 (UTC)
- I'm preparing a possible version, once I'm done, I'll set up a subpage, then link you. Sound fair? Then we can work on it. But even removing much of the article just to "get my attention" isn't right because it could hurt other readers perception of the articles and Wikipedia as a whole. --HELLØ ŦHERE 18:03, 5 April 2009 (UTC)
- It's a rough version, but it's a start. --HELLØ ŦHERE 18:13, 5 April 2009 (UTC)
- Here's one of my only problems: The Wu-Tang forum. We're not supposed to use forums and it doesn't really seem like a legit post. Know what I mean? But other than that, thank for you correcting my grammar mistakes, and it needs a tiny more bit of work, but yeah, seems good. --HELLØ ŦHERE 19:21, 5 April 2009 (UTC)
- Because I couldn't find another source, I've kept the forum link in there for now. But I have attempted to clean up a little more. --HELLØ ŦHERE 19:45, 5 April 2009 (UTC)

Wu-Massacre
[edit]Initially, I was led to believe that the whole Meth, Ghost & Rae thing was a separate group. After checking out several websites, I realized that it is not. I added quotes and citations to the Wu-Massacre page to prove this claim false, which now leads to 2 things;
1.) The Meth, Ghost & Rae page should be deleted
2.) Chronologies. I originally protested Wu-Massacre on single members’ chronology's, but now that it's been proven that it is simply a collaboration (kind of like the Grandmasters album) , it probably does make sense to include it (you were right). What are your thoughts? --Blastmaster11 (talk) 18:05, 22 March 2010 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for October 13
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Wu-Tang Clan, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page AZ (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

[edit]Hello, I'm Dan56. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Only Built 4 Cuban Linx..., but you didn't provide a reliable source. I've removed it for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. The article The Hitmen (production team) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- A whole lot of stuff sourced to a single blog post. Sean Combs / Bad Boy Records is where the notability is.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Stuartyeates (talk) 20:23, 10 December 2012 (UTC)
