Can you please re-review. I have added in the notable references from national newspapers that you've requested 'notable' citations for. Owainchristianpowell (talk) 09:21, 28 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I have no affiliation with the business. I happened to notice that Byron Burgers had a wikipedia page, but Burger and Lobster hadn't. Although I do eat occasionally at Burger and Lobster, I don't work there or know of anyone that does. Why would you assume that I would work there over anyone else drafting an article about any other business? If that was the general assumption, and reason for refusal - I'm sure there wouldn't be any companies listed on Wikipedia!
I'd welcome some constructive feedback on why it's been refused, and why you are assuming this is promotional or biased? I'd argue in favour of this being completely balanced, focused not just on growth but also on the financial losses the firm has experienced. I'm sure someone who worked there or was affiliated would not wish to mention this information! Owainchristianpowell (talk) 09:15, 28 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I haven't "assumed" anything; I was enquiring, as well as generally bringing the issue of COI to your attention. Given that your entire edit history has to do with this business, this wasn't IMO an unreasonable thing to do. But if you have no connection with this subject, then that's great. Carry on editing. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 09:35, 28 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I've had multiple rejections with the reason cited as 'affiliated with the business', so it's understandable (after continuing to reaffirm this isn''t the case) when this is continually cited as the reason of rejection - it's going to cause massive frustration. I do appreciate you looking at this, however; I'm looking for some crystal clear instructions as to what is next to do to round of this piece and get it published. I seem to be going round in circles with various verifiers; without clear cut instructions. I've since got back to to 331dot; and hope to be able to draw a line under this shortly - and to have this article published. Owainchristianpowell (talk) 09:43, 28 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I rejected the draft because the prospect of it being improved to meet standards seems low to me. Other reviewers have left the reasons for their reviews as well, but I will explain again here. You have done a nice job documenting the existence of the business and what it does- the thing is, that's not what Wikipedia is looking for. An article about a business must summarize what independent reliable sources with significant coverage have chosen on their own to say about the business, showing how it meets the special Wikipedia definition of a notable business. "Significant coverage" goes beyond merely describing the activities of the business, and goes into detail about the significance or influence of the business as the source(s) see it, not as the business itself sees it.
Your sources in the draft are
  1. a video of an interview with an employee, not an independent source
  2. describes the business activities of KFC in Japan, which is not relevant to this business
  3. a brief mention of Burger & Lobster as part of a larger story. That might support an article about premium burger sales or businesses in the UK, but says little about the significance of this particular business
  4. has a registration wall but seems like a piece similar to the above
  5. a brief story about a routine activity(the opening of a location)
  6. an interview with the founder describing the financial status of the company
  7. a statement from the company calling on businesses to hire Ukrainian refugees
  8. describes the reopening of a location after temporarily losing its license, a normal business activity
  9. a description of the opening of a location, with an interview. The portion reviewing the food might be okay to use, but that's only one review.
Unless something changes, I stand by my rejection. 331dot (talk) 10:06, 28 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
