Hello OVINOD,

yes i agree, the PFF should know better than all the other sites regarding Portuguese internationals, i should not have reverted the other user. Thank you for your addition, but what i did was relocate that ref you added as an external link, we are not supposed to have refs in box other than for stuff that is constantly vandalized, like full names and/or height.

Mexico national team editing dispute

[edit]

There is currently a dispute going on about an editor claiming that a sentence claiming that "Mexico being one of only a handful of nations to have won at least two out of the three most important trophies" (World Cup, Confederations Cup, Summer Olympics). The South American editor contends that the statement is not correct since Olympic teams are separate. Your input on the talk page would be greatly appreciated. Intros

[edit]

Hi there OV, AL,

I apologize for having doubted you in Matty's page, but i was very sad when i saw those intros the same and my message and Matty's summarily removed, i jumped to conclusions and for that i am deeply sorry, failed to understand people (you in this case) have a life outside WP. But i did not remove your messages from my talk page like you claim, it was done AUTOMATICALLY and i had nothing to do with it, it is a manual archiver that a fellow user installed on my page four or five years ago, so i know zero about how it works, only that it archives the past messages OK?

I repeat, i'll leave in 12 days so i won't be making any more of these judgement errors for too long, but please accept my sincere apologies, i do not wish to leave WP on a negative note. Regards --AL (talk) 11:38, 1 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • Seems you don't accept my apologies (my reaction in Matty's page was indeed excessive, but i recognize my poor manners). OK, sorry to bother you, but please refer to Matty's page for more discussion on the topic now i notify you, i should have done the same the first time. About the discussion at WP:FOOTY, you are my witness i started it, just don't know why i was totally ignored (like i told Matty, you wrote there but you do not count because i already knew your views on intros, i was looking for opinions saying those intros were 100% correct, there are many that way i know, people just chose to ignore me), not the first time it happens. --AL (talk) 14:53, 2 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Please read this that Matty wrote in my page, in response to a direct question i posed him: "If it sums up the important details of the player's international career and reads well then it should be fine.", meaning my previous intros were 100% fine, you just got tired of reading the same thing over and over in a DIFFERENT article and removed it, i guess that could give me equal right to remove your new intros, but rest assured i will not, not here to antagonize well-intended users such as yourself.

On a related note, please say that you accept my apologies for my exaggerated note on Matty's page (you have seen my messages of course, you have edited very little in the last days, but when you log in you see the message notification, PLEASE, i don't want to leave WP on a negative note with good users (with vandals i don't care of course), just a quick reply will suffice, i'm leaving in six days.

Happy week --AL (talk) 23:12, 6 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • Seems like you won't accept my apologies, OK. Goodbye, time for me to go (forever, one year, i don't know, but a long wiki-break that's for sure, feeling really stressed out), sorry for any inconvenience i may have done during our collaboration. --AL (talk) 17:25, 13 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
