Orphaned fair use image (Image:OviMagazineScreenshot_1.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:OviMagazineScreenshot_1.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Your signature

[edit]

Hi there. I noticed that in a recent edit you made, your signature violated the signatures and canvassing guidelines in that it contained a reference to an external link. No worries, this is a common mistake for people to make, and usually it's unintentional. :D Anyway, if you could do me a huge favor and please change your signature as soon as possible, all will be well again in the world. :P Thanks, and cheers =) --slakrtalk / 21:00, 9 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Cheers for the heads up! The signature has now been changed in My Preferences, although I am assuming there's no need to change any previous appearances of the old violating signature. Butcam (talk) 21:14, 9 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I would do so on the off-chance the link gets blacklisted in the future (the software prevents an edit from being saved if there's a blacklisted link on it). -Jéské (Blah v^_^v) 20:20, 12 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It is clear from your username, your comments, your editing pattern, and your signature that you are affiliated with ovimagazine.com, and you are here editing to promote that company. Wikipedia takes a very dim view of this kind of activity; it's a major problem that we face routinely, and editors are very often blocked for this. Please read up on the policy: Wikipedia:Conflict of interest as well as Wikipedia:Business' FAQ. And please change your signature so that it no longer mentions the magazine; this can be seen as a damaging attempt to advertise. Mangojuicetalk 19:29, 13 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
