Hello Ostesmørbrød. The nature of your edits, such as the one you made to Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics, gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially egregious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat SEO.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Ostesmørbrød. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Ostesmørbrød|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. The images upload and pages edited indicate that the relationship might be with Wilh. Wilhelmsen or Wallenius Wilhelmsen. Hello ToeFungii

Thank you for bringing this to my attention! I work with Wallenius Wilhelmsen, hence you may say I'm indirectly compensated. But not for any edits on Wikipedia.

My intention was to edit incorrect company structure, as the brand Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics ended a couple of years ago. The articles on Wikipedia was actually not correct.

If this may be interpreted as a violation of the Terms Of Use, I strongly appologize for that! It was never my intention to perform changes that would question the nature of the edits.

If so, I would be more than happy to reverse any changes that I made! These edits are not directly financial, economical or paid motivated. And certainly not Black Hat SEO!

As I'm not a frequent contributer on Wikipedia and should be compared as a Wikipedia rookie, would you care to advise me on how to proceed, User:ToeFungii? I would very much appreciate that!

I am 100% not the right person to advise on something as complicated like this. What raised my suspicion is that there were about 6 accounts editing two of the various WW pages and one of the names was "WWemply" which obviously stands for WW employee and their edits linked with one of those other accounts.
But I can point you to a place where you can get some guidance from far more experienced people. Go to Wikipedia:Teahouse where generally 24/7, but not guaranteed, are people that should be able to give you some guidance. I'll post a welcome message in a bit (i've got a million tabs open atm) that will have some overall wikipedia info, but WP:COI is the main place where it's written out. I can say that WP (which is how wikipedia is abbreviated) frowns on any editor with a relationship to an article doing edits, but there is a process where they can but from the little i've looked at it seems to be lengthy. As there's at least 3 WWs I don't know if that means you conflicted on all 3 or just 1, you might be able to edit without one of the others but again ask in the teahouse. There's also a help desk which I'm going to try and figure out which template is the right one to post here that has the link to it or you can ask them in the teahouse.
And I want to add thank you for being honest as in my limited experience most are not and many are caught because it becomes obvious. And from what I can tell WW has undergone some changes so without a doubt they needs updates. For reference, here are the 3 WW pages that I'm aware of: Wallenius Wilhelmsen, Wilh. Wilhelmsen, and Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics.

Welcome
