Complaint about your edits of Seljuk-related topics

Please see User talk:EdJohnston#User:Osman bey. You are not the first person to insist that a modern Turkish version of the article name be put in the opening sentence of a Seljuk-reated article. The Seljuks did not speak modern Turkish and they used a different script, so some people have opposed this. Warring about the different language versions of an article name is very common for nationalist edit warriors, and in fact, this does raise a concern about sockpuppetry. The issue of the Turkish name has been discussed at Talk:Seljuk Empire#Turkish spelling. If you continue to make edits like this, without waiting long enough to get a talk page consensus for your changes, you are risking a block. You can respond to the complaint on my talk page if you wish. Thank you, EdJohnston (talk) 17:20, 11 September 2016 (UTC)
- @EdJohnston: The discussion of the name wasn't finalized and I recommend you don't go harsh on this new user, who didn't even participate in the discussion. Alexis Ivanov (talk) 04:43, 12 September 2016 (UTC)

Sockpuppet investigation
[edit]Hi. An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Osman bey, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community.
