Juna Terano's Peer Review of Lake Cadagno Article
[edit]Lead
The lead provides a healthy introduction to the topic as it provides context for where the lake is, why it is important, and who is studying it. The largest concern, however, is that it provides way too much jargon and specific details that deny understanding of the topics to a general audience. I would recommend providing an introduction which maintains the same information, but is more digestible to non-scientific audiences.
Structure
This article as written provides very little structure and could use significance polishing. It may be helpful to include one brief section on the history of the lake in addition to multiple sections delineating the specific research done here. Since research is the main focus of the site, including only one section may not be sufficiently appropriate to convey all of the information needed.
Balance of Coverage
With the lack of structure from the previous peer review section, in addition to the overall lack of content, it is difficult to understand which sections are more important than others for the lake. I would recommend conducting a literature review of studies which have used this lake and develop sections which proportionally include information that has been studied and deduced from this site.
Neutral Content
One item that this article performs very well in is its neutral language. There does not seem to be any statements that are convincing or trying to convince the reader believe a certain point of view.
Scientific Accuracy
From my understanding of the site, this peer review section seems complete.
Level of Completeness and Detail
After reading the article, there is still much to be desired of the lake and much to be known. I believe the article is both too detailed in the introduction, and too incomplete in its one "Research" section. I look forward to reviewing your edits to the site!
Citations
This article needs significant improvement for this section as only one citation is provided, which is not at all sufficient. Juna Terano (talk) 00:00, 1 April 2023 (UTC)
