History of Nintendo
[edit]I think you are not familiar with the rules about when Wikipedia articles shoud start with the word "the". Please edit History of Nintendo from this point onwards when you do your edits. Georgia guy 19:13, 11 December 2005 (UTC)
- Dear fellow user, we already have a very good article on Nintendo which covers the company's history. I ask that you please contribute adding things there, and refrain from making a new article from scratch. If you think the Nintendo article should be splitted, please do it the proper way, taking all the content there and not just some parts. Thank you. JoaoRicardo 19:18, 11 December 2005 (UTC)
Removal of AfD tag
[edit]Please do not remove the AfD information on top of the History of Nintendo article until the discussion is settled. You will achieve nothing, as someone will soon notice the removal and revert it, and you will be frowned upon by the Wikipedia community. Thanks. JoaoRicardo talk 19:26, 13 December 2005 (UTC)

Blank articles
[edit]Hi Oscara. Please note that you should not create articles with little or no content, as they will be put up for speedy deletions. To ensure that this does not happen in the future, please use an external text editor to create your article, or refrain from clicking the 'Save Changes' button until your article has been finished. You could also use the inuse template. Thanks for your time. gtdp (talk)(contribs) 16:37, 6 January 2006 (UTC)
Page Blanking
[edit]On 19-Jan, you blanked Left field. Blanking pages is generally considered a bad idea. I've reverted it to the previous version. If this was the result of a broken edit, you may wish to make the correct edits. If you believe the page should be deleted, please follow the deletion procedures. Thanks! -- JLaTondre 14:06, 21 January 2006 (UTC)
Please do not replace Wikipedia pages with blank content. Blank pages are harmful to Wikipedia because they have a tendency to confuse readers. If it is a duplicate article, please redirect it to an appropriate existing page. If the page has been vandalised, please revert it to the last legitimate version. If you feel that the content of a page is inappropriate, please edit the page and replace it with appropriate content. If you believe there is no hope for the page, please see the deletion policy for how to proceed. Thanks for contributing to Wikipedia! -- Alf melmac 13:02, 9 February 2006 (UTC)
Regarding your edits to List of Mario series characters:

You have been temporarily blocked from editing for vandalism of Wikipedia. Please note that page blanking, addition of random text or spam, deliberate misinformation, privacy violations, and repeated and blatant violation of WP:NPOV are considered vandalism. If you wish to make useful contributions, you may come back after the block expires. --Syrthiss 16:03, 25 March 2006 (UTC)
- And seeing that you have a history of doing this (above)... I'm very tempted to extend the block. I will accept no further actions from you in removing XfD notices. If you disagree with the proposed deletion, be a rational editor and explain why you disagree on the appropriate XfD discussion page. --Syrthiss 16:07, 25 March 2006 (UTC)
Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion pages. The notices and comments are needed to establish community consensus about the status of an article, and removing them is considered vandalism. If you oppose the deletion of an article, you may comment at the respective page instead. Thank you. --Adam (talk) 05:37, 26 March 2006 (UTC)

Trying to CFD another person's user page
[edit]I came very close to blocking you for 24 hours for this, but I decided to give you this one and only warning. You have violated WP:POINT by trying to place another person's user page up for WP:CFD. CFD is for Categories. Other people's user pages are not categories. And besides, your commentary on the CFD entry makes no effort to hide the fact that it was done solely to get revenge against that user. This is where you have violated WP:POINT. The mechanisms of the project are not to be used for warring with other users. You have been warned. - TexasAndroid 21:03, 27 March 2006 (UTC)
- However, I'm not as forgiving as TexasAndroid. Based on my above warning, which seemed to have no impact, and the 2nd block, which also seemed to have no impact, you are blocked for 1 week. When you can edit again I would like you to consider contributing positively to Wikipedia. --Syrthiss 21:12, 27 March 2006 (UTC)
- And please don't pretend to be another user by faking their signature. It's not a particularly nice thing to do, and will get you in trouble if you keep doing it. Proto||type 08:36, 28 March 2006 (UTC)
- I would consider an unblock if you are willing to admit that you were mistreating the CFD/AFD procedures. --Syrthiss 13:44, 31 March 2006 (UTC)

OK, it's time to be blunt.
[edit]Please stop uploading screenshots - really tiny, horrible ones at that - of games to Wikipedia. Please also stop lying and saying they fall under the GFDL. I fear you may be very young and don't quite understand what Wikipedia is, or what the GFDL is or all this copyright stuff, so if you have any questions, please ask me. Also, please stop creating categories that are useless except to store your own Nintendo-related stuff. Thank you, and please respond. --Golbez 05:59, 9 April 2006 (UTC)

Image Tagging Image:1263.jpg
[edit]This media may be deleted.
|
Thanks for uploading Image:1263.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then there needs to be an argument why we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then it needs to be specified where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, consider reading fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other media, consider checking that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. feydey 14:07, 22 May 2006 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on Asobi requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. MuZemike (talk) 21:59, 5 September 2008 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
